following the "stolen photo's" thread.
I was wondering how many people on here with the disclaimer notice on their profile, intend to start legal proceedings and instant ramifications? |

It is not worth the screen space it is written on.. lol
I have however made the decision to hide some of my pics that I would not be happy to see on a porn site! |

this was about 5years ago "
interested to know as it seems no one knows who stole the pics, so do you go for the website that displayed them ?? |

actually I sent them an email stating what proceedings I was prepared to take if they did not remove the images..( btw according to the law they have 7 days to remove them)
I also have actually now sent a follow up requesting the details of the member that had stolen them.. so I can pursue it.. as they were a paid member and not a freebie.. they should have address details etc..
Dont know how far I will get.. but..

i went to the site found the person who i knew and warned him. he had no right for my photos as he didn't take them and he didn't take the warning to heart. so small claims i court i went won and i got my photos back and damages

Well we haven't got a leg to stand on!
We didn't have a disclaimer lol!
Have to say its not very nice finding what you thought were private photos of yourself on a porn site! |

neither do I.. but no one is allowed to take your photos without your consent.. even official survelience photos need a court order to be shown.. 
If I get the persons details ( which I may eventually get as they had to pay with a credit or debit card) then I will pass them on to anyone that was affected.

you don't need a credit or debit card to pay + plus I doubt that Fab can give you ant personal details (data protection act ) unless you get a court order |

you can request peoples personal details if they have breached things.. how you think you get it on ebay.. dont need a court order then..
I have done it before where I have traced someone via a website that was giving me personal grief.. no court order needed.. just a few well worded letters.. with relavant law quoted..
Dont know how far I will get.. but if you dont try you wont know.

It will be interesting if some do go to court. Personally I think its all hot air as the media are bound to get the heads up on the case and it will plaster it on the juicy pages in the red tops. |
