Anyone else get to a point in their life where they start to think about getting some more ink done?

For me it is like I'm craving it, bit like an addiction. I know where I want my next one and got an idea of what I want too, just need to research where to go for it doing.

Not really but if you want it go for it as long as it makes you happy.

It's one of the reasons I don't have any - I already have enough hobbies and addictions that eat up all my money and so I'm loath to start lol.

I got mine at 4am in Thailand. I wouldn't have tattoos if I lived in England where they don't tattoo impulsive d*unk people at 4am.

Could be worse than sak yant

I woke up thinking if it was just my imagination.

Then I checking in the mirror and was like "ohhh shit why did I do this"

It's stupid really. If you like a design you stick it on your fridge then get bored of it 10 years later.

Having a tattoo is keeping your teenage wall posters in your back for the rest of your life.

I never consciously spent any time thinking about getting a tattoo. I just did it on an impulsive decision.

I'm just glad I got something real rather than something silly.

Even if my back looks like a takeaway menu it's less generic than some stupid name in times new Roman ink. Or a mauri tattoo for someone who's never been to New Zealand....or a date of birth....or a tupac quote....

My advice is don't get a tattoo. Get a framed painting....

That’s because you’re looking at tattoos in the wrong way. People get tattoos for a number of reasons. Some, like me appreciate the art and others like to use the art to keep a memory and others just like them for the fun.

No one should belittle someone’s choice to do something for themselves to their own body

I like your way of thinking I've got the number 18 in Roman numerals for a couple of personal reasons but can see that some would think it was a weird thing to do and also the Manchester bee when the money was all being donated to the families of the Manchester bombing, but I want something Manchester related on my arm between the bee and 18

Once you start you just can't stop!! It's a good way to express yourself for what ever reason you want like someone has already said, going to have to visit a for tattooists and see what they can do for me

I want one or 2 ive got ideas but the effort involved with finding a good artist seems like too much hassle. Plus i know one part that might need doing will be excruciatingly painful.

Can they strap you down while they do it lol

I've got my next one booked in 2 weeks love them and they are very addictive. I have been going to the same tattooist for 9 years now. I have a couple of more ideas but unsure if I'll get any more, famous last words lol no doubt I'll be itching for another in 12 months

I loved my grandad more than anyone.

Getting his name on my arm would only be superficial.

Was meant to have work done on my back last Tuesday, but moved last Monday so had to postpone it. Gutted as the artist doing it is fully booked until May, but will be worth it.

Haha, I know me though, having to resist the urge to get a smaller one now, as addicted to ink x Viv x

That’s a cheap full sleeve! Or a mediocre artist...

Always. I'm currently working on my full sleeve. Got 3 big pieces done on it now. Another big piece left to do then it's filling in all the blank space around them. I cannot wait for it to be done. Although the I bloody hate the week following a new tattoo. The peeling. Itching. I like the before and after

Or just huge swathes of shading filling space with ink but leaving very little to look at

It's about 6 months since i had my last one and I'm getting the itch for some more. The guy who did my sleeve has an apprentice working with him at the moment and I have a couple of fairly simple ideasteps that I think I may chat to them about offering up my skin tof the apprentice

My tattoo guy is brilliant. He gave me a tattoo that I have to keep hidden because 99.9999% of people will think it is terrible. But I love it so much.

I want more but nothing is eating at me yet.

I have told myself I'm done so many times, that's it, no more. Then I have another

I've space but I'm not sure if I've run out of pain tolerance, the last two I had were stingy, both around the ankle.
