Are we talking about tarts or slices?
Slices are just like a logistical nightmare, who ever thought them up????

You should have seen the uproar at a local bakers in Harlow at the start of the year when they took them off the menu!!

Nope but I try and eat all the lovely set custard and only eat the pastry if it's beautiful and crisp not soggy as a lot of shop bought ones are. |

I’ve thought long hard about the question …..
If it was one of those small bite size ones that come in a foil case, no, it’s getting taken down probably in one.
If tax slightly bigger, but can still hold in my hand, I’ll still try and eat it without a fork/spoon.
But if it’s a slice from a larger custard tart that had to be plated up, I’d have to eat it from a fork.
I love custard Tarts, ……. Is there a place called Custard? |
