Is a song about lost friendships from our schoold days. Let's remember the good times of our youth.
What funny stories can you share about the good ol' days?
I used to go camping a lot when I was in school. We made a treehouse, really good it was too. Until I fell out of it. Landed bang in the middle of a bees nest. Me and a friends just kept getting stung. We ran home to our mums who were in stickes pulling out the stings one by one... I must have got stung 12 times. |

I was the youngest of three. Raised by my single Dad.
I had two older brothers whom I idolised but never allowed to play "you're too little" was everyone's mantra.
Being a girl and the baby I got away with murder, could do no wrong, always telling tales on my brothers, spiteful and just spoilt. I was well and truly Daddy's princess.
I can remember being 5 or 6, and wanting to play out with my brothers, surprisingly my Dad told the boys to take me, and look after me.
Well! I was over the moon! They told me we were going to play hide and seek in the woods, so excited! They took me into the woods, told me to stand with my eyes closed and count to 100.... Did not take long for me to realise I'd been double crossed and dumped!
I did not know how to get out, or my way home....sat and cried until the gamekeeper found me, he knew Dad and took me home.
Oh how I laughed at Dads reaction, they were grounded for a month! I of course took great pleasure in going out to play at every opportunity. |

I do have good memories, nicking Dad's wheelbarrow and me and brothers taking it in turns to push each other up the road.
I remember my brothers wanting the wheels off my dolly pram for a go car, they ended up swapping for sweets and the first go!
Bonus! A go cart, and sweets! I sat on it,the pushed me, it collapsed! We had to go back and replant strategies. Well they did, I sat munching asking "is it ready yet!"

Oops, misread it, bee stings are nasty.
Well there were lots of times my brothers were nice to me, my eldest brother made me a dolls house in his woodwork class once, he and Dad put lights in it and carpet. I was always heavily protected. Never got bullied. |

We could learn a lot from bees. Organisation, productivity, community sacrifice, stinging people who annoy us......
