Just been reminded about how expensive it is being a woman, i seem to run out of make up items all at the same time, went into a well known store last week to purchase a few items and was astounded that some of the women selling the stuff wear so much make up! Why?
Gents- Does it put you off when femmes wear too much make up?
Ladies- How much is too much..do you use applicators or trowels?

I think they have to have a 4x4 to carry the cement mixer, the cement oops sorry foundation cream (which gets delivered by a tanker ) and all the other stuff that a glove compartment or handbag can't handle
Applicators, trowels are strictly for those women that work at make up counters, reminds me of the Lee Evans piss take of them, all solid faced |

Women often wear too much make up, the eyes and lips are the most important. I really like the way a woman looks when all the make up is off - it means we are off to bed soon....

I feel for the painted ladies in Boots (other make-up stores are available) I couldn't be doing with having to make sure, my face was that made-up...For me I have mascara, blusher (do we still call it that?) and my mother pucker lip gloss and not forgetting my magic weapon my touche eclat, or as I like to call it, touch my clit, but not when repurchasing
If I am feeling like upping it a notch, I will add some jet black kohl or eyeshadow if going out.
Top tip for ladies and well some men...put eyeliner on the upper lid but underneath, as you would on the tear duct line....make-up artist tip and does make a difference |

I only wear makeup for a meet or social, i do wear tinted mouisterizer and sometimes a bit of lipstick and thats all. A well made up face looks nice, but i dont like it overdone, especially on young girls when they cake the foundation on, i want to say to them now is the time you have a perfect complextion save the foundation until you need it. Cant you tell im getting older lol |

Im same as you femme, always run out of everything at once, but can only use certain brands so replacing it all costs an arm and a leg. That said I dont wear heavy make up, only wear a light powder foundation, I like to do my eyes, though that differs depending on work, night out etc. I also only wear lip gloss, never anything heavy. That said, if I didnt wear anything I would feel naked though. |

I think im a natural beauty to be honest (you may think differently of course) and look better with just mascara and possibly a bit of vaseline to the lips
My skin is generally good and i like my natural lip colour.
I can go over the top with make up and look completely different with colours. |

Having moved to Liverpool I am still astonished by the amount of make up some of the women up here wear. Some of the women wear it well, but on some it is just far too much...... |

make up is one of the things i have got into over the past year or so...discovering my girlie side, but i am still very unsure of what to do.
i tend to keep it simple and to a few basic colours...i would love to have a professional show me properly what to do. |

I never wear make up to work, just my moisturiser.
However I love make up and wear lots of weird and wonderful colours. I don't like the Jordan look but I do like creative looks. I also like sticking jewels on my face and I have a whole collection of indian bindis and jewels to wear along the brow line.
I'm not keen on thick orange foundation, dark lipliner with paler lips etc, but I do like to experiment and I would say its not exactly neutral lol |

Whilst I believe that a woman should wear whatever makeup that makes her feel the best she can - I have a natural tendency towards minimalism in this subject.
Sometimes, putting it on with a trowel just hides a simple, natural beauty. Less is more - as they say.
Actually, this also goes for perfume too. I prefer something subtle and not sprayed everywhere ... I hate is when I am kissing/licking all over and I find my tongue shrivelling up with the after-effect of licking a bottle of scent (maybe a trifle overexaggerated there). |

A touch of natural mineral eyeshadow, a wee bit of blusher and some lip gloss if I feel so inclined, but often go to work with none.
For special occasions may add a bit of mineral face powder but only lightly. Too much make up just does not feel right somehow.
kiss - keep it soft n simple |

I love a lady who makes an effort, but not to much makeup is good.
Some of the ladies I have seen about are proper orange (you've been tangoed) I could image them stripping off infront of ya with orange face and chicken White body lol.
Bed stains must be a nightmare.
Also makes me laugh when you see a lady who has had way to much to drink and her makeup is smudged all over her face. Mmmmmmmm
Lol |

I have to wear foundation to cover my bags under my eyes sadly inherited them so doesn't matter how much sleep I have they don't go away ever! Had them since i was about 5 and they drive me nuts but still no need to trowel on the make up. Always wore natural make up but have lately started doing brighter/bolder colours on my eyes for nights out which I really like now. Think the best way is whatever makes you feel good (as long as it's not orange) |

Try Touch Eclat, yves saint laurent, a bit pricey but it works x |

I very very rarely wear much make-up,, a bit of eyeliner and mascara and if i have bags under my eyes a big of highlighter well blended.. sometimes a bit of lip gloss but that's it... i think any more looks wrong on me.
But for some women more make-up doesn't look bad.. but its finding the natural beauty in your face and highlighting it (like me with my eyes) and not trying to create fake beauty with heavy slabs of creams, powders and sparkle lol
and Mark doesn't like women with too much make-up on but he couldn't tell you how much is too much. |

I once saw a woman that I swear had more foundation on than my living room wall has plaster and it looked terrible. Fuck knows what was going through her mind but it wasn't what stared back to her from the mirror. |

Well recently after years of wanting it done I had my eyebrows tattooed,I was way to eager with the tweezers when I was younger. I usually just wear lip gloss in the day but for an evening I do the works
(that seems a longtime ago)
Never done fake tan as being very pale with freckles I look like someone as thrown gravy over me. |

How does that work? I have visions of a bald bloke getting his crown tattooed and it wouldn't look right to me. |

I only notice when there is too much make-up which is probably a typical male comment.
Thankfully most men don't wear make-up. If we did there would be some scary sights! |

nope, hate it wit a passion.
to me, make up hides the real person.
i would rather have wars and all natural looks from a lady, especially if you are wanting to see them again (i mean, whats the point looking 'perfect' the night before, only to look like you have been shot in the face in the morning?)
maybe a little foundation if you have overly red cheeks, as people can be self concious about it, but nothing else. hate how lipstick/gloss makes lips seem clammy, and hate fake tan and so on........
no need to make much effort wit me. lol. |
