I work 8 hours and sleep 8 that leaves 8 hours for fun
That's a lie lol I generally work 11 or 12 hours, sleep 6 hours which leaves 6 hours that are mostly spent talking to the good people of Fab lately
What's your work life balance like?
P.S., I have an Evelyn Knight ear worm at the minute incase you're wondering |

We work from 3 to 11 during the week mostly so when we work we don’t generally go out, when we have our days off we will try and get out and about, it’s hard living where you work though you never truly switch off.

I could imagine that being the case. Without asking you to expose to much of your private lives, do you run a guest house? |

I work 12 hour permanent night shifts 4 on 4 off 1730-0530, head to gym for hour and then head home. Usually in bed for 0730 then back up at 1330 to do it all over again. |

I remember those days myself bud. Nightshifts were hard and really effected my social life, but the 4 days off were also good

There doesnt seem as many hours in a day when doing a nightshift. The equivalent of your evening just doesnt ever materialise its either being at work or being in bed. |

"Usually work 10-11 hours a day Monday to Friday, 45 minutes commute either way and then fit sleep, training and chores into the rest. It's what makes weekday meets pretty much a no no!"
To pooped to party, I can relate. I don't think it's much of a balance this work life thing, plus retirement age will be like 80 by the time I get there fook sake. I need a sugar momma lol |

This is it! We're all just a slave to "the man" really. Do you ever wonder too why the longer you work for someone the more holidays per year you get? That's to keep you from going part time and just living on potnoodles lol

I have a great life balance but I chose to jump off the corporate wagon a few years ago. Less money but my god I'm so much happier and healthier and now able to spend far more quality time with my son without always feeling stressed, tired and running around like a blue ass fly. |

Fair play to you, you did what most of us would love to do and I'm in no doubt your life is all the better for it.
It's a materialistic world and people get used to buying stuff they want but don't really need and a lot live beyond their means even to look to the outside world that they have the good life.
The good life is what you have, time for your self and your son, no stress and happiness |

"I'm working 7 days per week at the moment which is ridiculous and certainly curtails opportunities for meeting fab friends!
It will get better tho thank goodness. "
That's a lot Finn. You could burn yourself out if you weren't careful. I worked a day job 2 days out our of my 4 off when I was on 4 on 4 off nightshifts and it took it out of me. Again, this was so that I could afford to do more. Ultimately when I knocked the second job on the head I really did feel better.
I'm glad you can forsee your job and your work life balance getting better, for you and your potential Fab friends |
