That’s the trouble it’s so easy to block someone, some just block for the sake of it. But I do understand if some one being abused or don’t take no for an answer but some just block for anything I have been blocked twice and even now don’t know why. |

I don't really block people unless there's a very good reason for it. Even on Facebook if someone's really getting on my nerves I just put them on mute for a month. I've seen so many people get really isolated and insular just because all they do is block everyone that isn't 100% on the same page as them about everything. |

I actually think the way are so block-happy on here kinda undermines how severe the act of blocking someone should be. I've had a couple of situations where someone has winked at me so I've messaged them politely, they've then said something quite rude to me then blocked me immediately... In my mind that's pretty bad behaviour but it seems that it's normal for thi site :/ |

It's like shunning a person as if they're dead to you. If all you've done is say hello politely to someone and you happen to have the wrong shape face for them or something, it strikes me as a bit extreme. Yes, I understand that some people on here behave like assholes etc etc, in which case fair enough, block them... But I think blocking people just in case they might be an asshole is a step too far. |

How about looking at it this way? You cold message someone who isn't interested in further dialogue, for whatever reason, they block you to prevent you wasting your time messaging them again with the same result. It's nothing personal, just a simple site tool to save both people going round the same dance again - really it's no different than having a message deleted without reply for the same reasons.
Add to that that there *are* some men who *do* get abusive for being rejected (and the person blocking has no way of knowing which ones will and which won't) and it all starts to make sense  |

We only counter block , so if someone blocks us we will block them back . It’s very rare that we will be the first go block .
The most counter blocking in one day is about six I think . It just depends on what topics I comment on in the forums I think  |

I've only blocked about 10 people from the forums in 4 years, But 100s from the chat rooms, Half the time its just to slow the room down so I don't see the repeated "show us your tits" "watch my cam I'm going to cum" comments |

Loads. I don't count them up as I block them.
I'm lazy, so I let men message me and I block them when they aren't what I'm looking for.
That's so they don't inadvertently message me again a week or 2 years later.
Saves us both hassle. |

Having said that, I've only got a handful of people on my block list, most of which are counter blocks. |

I don't think I know the answer. I usually block about 20 per day. If I post a meet then it's much more coz most of those who are horny don't read my profile before messaging me. |

I gave up blocking people years ago, no one can do anything that warrants it. It’s the internet and 99.9% of profile that I won’t look at/ever meet in person.
It’s just not important enough.

It was a lot, I said that I was pro-life and got a lot of abuse and a lot of the women blocked me, whenever I get blocked I block back as I think people will unblock me in the future. So it was all just blocking back and not replying to them. |
