This is something that I see regularly both on the forum and also in profile updates.
On the rare occassions that there is not an immediately obvious task to attend to there's always something occupying my mind or keeping me active. It's not always a welcome or pleasurable activity (although I can almost always come up with a way of procrastinating something I don't really want to do, like making a thread for the forum for instance) but if I am not content reading, listening to music/podcasts or watching a video there's always something that needs to be done.
Hmmmmmm... That might explain why I am always knackered I s'pose...
But anywho. Do you get bored? Are you always on the go? Or are you just cruising and everything seems to be working out fine without having to think about it? (I'm not jealous of the latter! At all. Honest!) |

I’m a complete lazy arse and can spend hours doing next to nothing. I watch shit tv or google random stuff that pops into my head. I’m very rarely bored though. My expectations are quite low I think |

It's two different things."
Both instances have folk saying they are bored.

So not feeling stimulated by the tasks in hand. I can get that. |

One is temporary and easy to remedy, the other not so.
I think most people who post on a forum often and daily must be in some kind of long term state of boredness. |

I don't have time to get bored.
I'm an 'on the go' sort of person, sitting doing nothing isn't an option for me.
I broke a couple of toes a few weeks ago, had to rest & avoid doing a few things.
I did get a bit twitchy then

When the mundanities cant be escaped here makes an excellent distraction tool to exhibit silliness or just 'talking'. Says She of the always here and often crowd.

I sometimes get bored of the things I *have* to do but I don't really find myself getting in to a state of being bored. I post on the forum because I enjoy it. I guess lots of activities could be considered a way of escaping from long termed boredness to outsiders. |

Can do or have to do? How many of those "somethings" are you really doing of your own free will?
Not many in my case. I even take up things that I don't really want to do that much. I just do it because it's slightly more bearable than the alternative.

I have bursts of work activity either paid or unpaid, sometimes frantic, sometimes prolonged but always followed by periods of cruising. I’m never bored because I don’t bore myself. There is always something I can do if I don’t want to chill. |

On those occasions where I might be no longer interested in doing the things at hand. I tend to find mischief of some kind to entertain myself with or alternatively sink into my own imagination. It’s really never boring there.

Does this happen to anyone else, you have a day off, get everything planned in your mind how your day is going to go, example
Morning, go to the gym or out on the mountain bike
Walk into town have a spot of lunch.
Drive to the beach for a walk.
Come home catch up on admin etc
Evening trip to the cinema then go for a pint after....
End in reality end up doing fuck all except veg out on the sofa |

I’m rarely bored as in the nothing to do meaning of the word.
I do however get bored of doing things of a repetitive nature, I find Fabs falls into this category which is why I don’t login for periods of time.
Maybe because I’m quite full on when I’m into something I tire of it easily, not too sure, but it’s feasible. |
