I watched with interest as a very close relative is a social worker. Like the heading said, they've damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I to felt so sorry for the mum on the very, very brave decision she made, it must have been heartbreaking for her. |

Yes social workers are going to be criticised by one one side or the other when they take action, be it removing a child or working with the birth mother. It is a very difficult job.
The real scandal is when they do not take action. When they use officialdom and bureaucracy to hide incompetence, maliciousness, pettiness, laziness. When they allow their own prejudice to dictate their course of action and when the establishment close ranks to protect so-called experts like Dr Marietta Higgs and persecute whistleblowers like Dr Kim Holt. |
