When you were at school, did you try and tip your double decker bus?

I have a special kinda love for bus drivers, I have family who are drivers, I fancy one, I’m pals with them.

But in high school we all tried to tip the bus. We had a brand new driver and he got fed up so took us back to the bus station. He got off the bus and we were all made to sit downstairs and a girl in my year jumped on the drivers seat and tried to drive off with the bus

No we had to walk to and from school. The only people that caught the bus were those that lived in the villages surrounding our town x

Hiding in the shadows

Having driven several round the skid pan, I can vouch, they're pretty hard to tip over, but it's not impossible

No double deckers here.

My bus wasn't much bigger than an ice cream van come to think of it. No fun for lanky people.

1.5hrs to college and back every day, packed and cramped with all windows shut on a cold day, stale air, then someone sneezes.

These were bad days and I longed for when I'd have a car and this crap would one day be over.

And now those days are long over. Good riddance!

I believe they have to be tested to some ludicrous angle, one that looks as if it should already have turned over.

There and to the left a bit

You tip on the bus? Blimey posh bus drivers up your way - we only tip taxi drivers down here

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

So if you all succeeded you would have toppled the bus and then consequently all would have been hurt in the incident presumably. Was it a sunshine bus? Haha

Somewhere near here

In the winter we had posh coaches, we were good as gold on those. In the summer when the posh ones were used for day trippers we had these old cranky ones. Stunk of stale cigarettes and the seats were made of dust. They struggled to get over the hills of the Lincolnshire wolds. When the bus went around sharp bends we’d hand from the parcel shelves, great fun.

I did but the sad truth is it has to topple over 45 degrees before it will go over

Yeah totally. Out bus had to go around a huge roundabout so we would all run to one side and crush each other in the process while trying to tip it. Never worked luckily and was a bit silly.

We even forced a window out of the socket once putting our feet up against it trying to crush everyone on the back seat. Feel sorry for the drivers looking back now.
