How many people have a meet arranged for tomorrow and how many think it will fall through due to it being rugby’s Super Saturday!?
I do but I’m not holding my breath, Wales v Ireland at home in Cardiff with the potential of a grand slam, I really don’t see someone leaving their friends after a day on the sauce and then catching a train to a meet. |

I mean I met someone off here when England was playing in quarter finals last year.
Albeit we watched a little bit of the game but fun was had and meet still went ahead!
So glad it did too... |

But if the person is actually gonna be out in Cardiff watching the game with friends. I just don’t see them being able to leave. Rather just be told it’s not happening so I don’t have to go through the meet ritual of cleaning and shaving and all that bollocks.
Like if I clean all my house and prepare myself and shave and get ready and then they don’t turn up,then I’ll be pissed, rather just be told look rugby is on let’s do another time. |

If they arrange a meet for a rugby day and then don't turn up, they are not the kind of person I'd want to meet anyway.
But definitely echo your annoyance about the wasted prep- not looking forward to the shave before my next one (it's been a while....) |

"The meet may be cancelled for reasons other than the rugby though . Some people cancel because they wake up and fancy a pyjama and duvet day I’ve heard . "
Yeah, that’s when meets haven’t been arranged properly. If some guy said oh I’ll meet you next Sunday but made no confirmation of the where’s and what times I’d assume it wasn’t happening. Can we acknowledge the distinction between arranging a day, time and location with multiple confirmation beforehand rather than a joking throwaway comment like you should meet me tomorrow instead. I was due on I had a spot on my cheek, couldn’t be fucking arsed to get ready and said on the day that I wasn’t feeling a meet that day. |

Depends on the interests of the person concerned. I would prefer to arrange a meet than watch rugby as I have zero interest in it. No idea who is even playing until cursing when there is nothing on TV as they are showing it.
I'd offer to be your "substitute" OP but I'm going to a sporting event myself tomorrow. |

It’s cool , I was just having a little dig . No harm meant at all . I can see where you are coming from on this one , but I don’t doubt that if the guy has arranged the meet properly he isn’t gonna cancel because he got wrecked watching the rugby .
I think it’s your insecurity kicking in , and to be fair if he does cancel you know he ain’t worth a wank , so no worries huh ?
And the bonus would be the house would be spotless giving you a duvet day on Sunday |

If it's the Ikea our end then I don't reckon he will turn up but I hope I'm wrong.
If you were on his way home he would arrive at some point or there would be more of a chance of him doing so.

No I’m not on his route home, 20 minute train and that’s if he can get from city centre to the station. I want to call it off so I’m not in the limbo will he or won’t he turn up situation. |

I think I've misunderstood sorry. Has he actually said he's off out with his mates to watch the game?
If so, I'd definitely cancel. I don't meet beery men. I'd rearrange for another time. |

I'd cancel now based on his day, you'll be left waiting for a text or knock on the door and most importantly, from what I gather; you haven't met him before.
He sounds local, rearrange it where you can both have a drink together if you wish, some food etc. |

To save myself from all the pre meet prep if I had even a tiny inkling they might cancel ~ and it sounds like you do ~ I'd be sending a text along the lines of 'are you sure you don't want to rearrange for when you aren't spending the day with your mates'. |

"I’ve done the whole are you sure you don’t want to do another night instead thing which is gonna make me even more annoyed if he doesn’t turn up. just cancel it and rearrange it"
Makes perfect sense to me |

What if Wales loose tomorrow?
I'm presuming he is Welsh. He might be on a negative anyway.
Might sack you off over the result or might turn up grumpy.
It could all be amazing of course.
Sometimes it's better to act on something rather than not. This is probably one of those times.
If it was worth it it will happen in the near future. |

I'm not keen on sport, other than the Bedroom Olympics.
Playing sport is another matter entirely, but I'd still choose someone I wanted to meet on Fab, over any sport.
It's so repetitive. Same shit, different day. Same team, different players, same build up, same disappointment. Booooring zzzz zzz zzz |

"Why not just combine the two? I did that for the world Cup semi last year!
You managed to entice a lady with the offer of a semi? Well played Sir
I doff my cap to you sir, well played"
It was a good game, shame England lost, but not a bad result |

So why dont you actually say look I'm aware the rugby's on did you want to change the date as I understand if you do it's not a problem. |

I once went to Cardiff on a rugby day and couldn’t get booze from a shop for love nor money. Never again
Best bet is to go watch the game at a pub and see if anyone takes your fancy. Retro but effective. |

Would love to be It Cardiff today. It's a great city, great people and mighty craic on match day.
My golden rule, if you have made the arrangement ...... show up ... you don't have to stay & play
Have a great day everyone
Come on Ireland ???????????????? |

I don’t think my beaver would get excited about entertaining a fella who has been boozing all day, may or may not have been to Caroline Street and the food fumes his breath would have, nevermind his farts.
Especially if i were stone cold sober. |
