Have you ever had that feeling that when you chat to people in the forums, they'd love to meet you but they're so far away but when you send a message to a person near, even if the message is well written and shows you've read their profile, they don't want to know?
Not that I'm complaining or anything. I hardly send a message to anyone near anyway which is why I stick together forums as I know many good people there. |

Where do they live on the moon? If your really into one another it shouldn't deter you. Distance wouldn't put me off. Fucking half the forum users would more than likely kill it for me  |

Perhaps not for a "real life" relationship, but there are practicalities and cost to consider.
I've exchanged a few messages with a couple in Scotland (I'm in southern England) and we've all made it clear that but for the distance we would willingly play. A 10 hour (or more) return journey is not practical though. |

For a single looking for a relationship maybe. Or even a brave swinger perhaps. But people with kids and non drivers just wanting a me at less likely to I imagine. Seeing how fickle people are, I wouldn't travel far at my own cost and inconvenience to get stood up (again!). |

I was stood up once but that was before I joined Fab. It was awful and it was on Valentines Day as well. |

When I was on fab before I lived in the south west and ended up with someone a 3 hour drive from me.
Now I'm back home in Scotland there's at least 3 people I'd love to meet in the south west!

We were stood up a few weeks ago, by a vwrified member. Its a good job that we were in the other side of the country and booked a hotel for our primary reason, not to meet him specifically or I'd have been livid |

Because if it doesn't go well you may end up seeing each other or at least may end up knowing other local people.
It just a shame most people us distance as a excuse not to meet. |
