Did they not offer to help you with doing it using their computers/machines within the branch?
They have cut their staff and expect everyone to do it online. Logging in can be a nightmare.
If it's bad enough for us, how are our parents expected to be able to do it? They want the same old way, face to face across the counter - how it should be. |

But banking online is so convenient.
It's like the chat room. You can still cum without the hassle of traveling, spending etc.
Does that convince you to do online banking now?....or chatting in the chat room? |

I am with the Nationwide. I had to transfer a significant sum and had the option of doing it either in one hit at £20 or split it into 4 payments at no cost.

I find the app on my phone handy to check my balance and make payments. That's about it though.
I don't even like having to use the machine to make deposits but when you look at the queue of people at the counter, I'll reluctantly use the machine. |

Online banking is pretty safe , if you do get hacked the bank give you back the stolen money anyway.
It's so convenient for sending money, checking accounts and keeping track of payments.
A phone app makes it even easier. |

My dad's partially sighted, can't use the atm and at 92 struggles to understand how to use online banking. He was asked to make a payment by bank transfer and didn't even understand that it could be done on line. He went into his branch and paid to do it. I think some people are being disadvantaged by the advances in banking for sure |
