Have you had it officially diagnosed? Symptoms of RLS are very similar to those of a DVT.

like you have to move it every 5 seconds or so?

Honestly, 2min walk around the block, or a quick strum before bed. I've had it since puberty.

I've had it a few years. It only starts when I'm in bed. Sometimes both legs, from the calf down. I get relief from banging them on the bed

Gabapentin, pregabalin and ropinirole are all effective

The gabapentin and pregablin particularly effective for night time

Ropinirole is a dopamine agonist which helps raise dopamine levels

Usually starts late evening when I’m sat down , I used to get a few weeks where for some reason it didn’t happen but now it’s every night!

I get this occasionally. I ought this vibrating paddle thing that was meant to go in a cot to soothe them to sleep. I put it between my calves and it stops it completely.

After reading about the side effects, I think I'd rather have restless legs.

For restless legs put a small bit of hard soap under your toes and put on socks. Sounds weird but it works!!

I usually get it at specific times.

- When I'm physically tired.

- When I'm trapped in a confined space like a packed car or aeroplane.

- Or if a doze off, and woken up before I enter deep sleep.

Feels like it's almost psychological.

It can definitely be psychological as sometimes if I try and distract myself it goes ! I have cut out caffeine in the evening and that’s helped a lot x
