I do every day.
6 mile run
Or weights and a 3 mile jog
Or muay thai (sometimes including a swim before)
I don't do rest day...
It's more like I do 12 days then have a day off and go back to it.
As you might know by now I've gotta keep my brain in a routine. If I don't put in the effort in exercise and going to bed before midnight I get anxiety/depression and it cycles.

It's usually deadlifts on Fridays, but I spent the morning chasing incompetent builders & never got to the gym.
I'm out of sync now

Alternate days usually. Heavy upper/Dynamic lower/Dynamic Upper/Heavy Lower. Assistance work/conditioning on days in between 20-30 minutes max on those days |

"No, I'm resting up, man flu is in full force.
Ready for deadlift and squats tomorrow night."
Deadlifts and squats in the same workout? Yuck. No thanks.
Due to lower back damage I split them by at least 2 days.. if I tried both on the same day I would be losing form and risking damage. |

Slow and steady for me..can't risk fucking my back again. Alternating squat workouts between 10 reps then heavier at 5 reps. Doing a couple of weeks of each then adding weight gradually. Going to take time. Doing same with deadlifts. Body is too knackered to risk ego lifting.
(When my back goes it impinges on my sciatic nerve and I lose power in my right leg - it can just buckle then I'm screwed) |

That's fair enough. I'm peaking for my comp still on the lighter side at the minute. As weight goes up reps come down over the next 8 weeks |

Did some powerlifting when I was younger. Then discovered Thai boxing. Still appreciate the dedication to shifting big weights. I just need to keep reminding myself I am not 23 anymore |

I got back home about an hour ago.
100 more pull-ups towards my 1000in31 pull-up challenge. Just 590 to go.
A dead hang and bag carry circuit, along with some cardio thrown in.
Oh and having a go at a group of young lads who thought it would be funny to get their friend to try to squat 175kg when he hasn't got the hang of the technique with an empty bar. |

"What's the almonds all about?"
They're delicious, help in keeping hunger at bay, healthy fats, fiber protein, helps control blood sugar levels and lower blood pressure and cholesterol |

Cool story bro
Not 116g"
Why 116
When I decide I want 28 grams of protein and 115 grams of beef has 28 why would I weigh 116 ?
I can be bothered to weigh and measure 70 percent or more of my food and drink ,its very simple and the benefits for my wellbeing are off the scail |

A good mix of fruit and nuts are great. They can be expensive, but other stores do sell them |

I just did a little research regarding almond skins and pitta, I thought it was something scientific, but seems it's not. I'll eat them whole. |

I'll have a trip to Lidl later. I don't like the shop but their bags of nuts are much cheaper. I used to get my son's from there. |

If its the first time youve done them/done them deep in a long time you're always gonna hurt as the muscle doesnt usualy get used that way and your tearing up all the cross linking.
It will be easier as long as you keep it regular |

Can't stress the importance of a proper cool down & stretching, too many people skip it
Also get some Epson salts, add a cup full to your bath and soak for 20mins xx

Just make sure you always unload the squat rack backwards (ie you step out facing the rack) you dont wa t to find yourself at failure and having to try put it down into the rack behind you |

I always change how I do it as you have to confuse the muscle memory, another thing about full body workouts are that they are far superior cos of the frequency and rest you get as you have to allow the protein synthesis to recover with 96hrs. |

I'm currently doing low rep full body 5 times a week 2 off for an hour , I've discovered the 96 hrs rule is not an exact rule , depends on the exercise volume*intensity and nutrition strategies. I'm working on , each time I train muscle synthesis is elevated on that muscle for 48 72 hrs thus training 5 days gives a full 7 of anabolic and fat reducing hormones.
What's your skin thickness and cutting goal ?
I'm aiming for 1.8 kg fat which should equate to 1-2mm skin thickness
Current loss rate 500g week so 3 more to go |

"I’ve got a session with my PT at lunchtime today.
I hate him during the sessions but love the results!
I made the mistake of telling my PT that I hate doing burpees. You can guess what he makes me do in every session. And yes I pay for the privilege!"
Never ever tell them you hate things! |

Been this evening and did a leg workout which is unusual for me as normally I rely on running to keep my lower half in good shape but am awaiting the result of an x-ray for a possible stress fracture in my left foot so been told to stay off the running by the Doctors. |

"I am having a protein filled breakfast, 2 scrambled egg, 115g beef burger with salsa and 40 almonds
Cool story bro
Why is is cool or a story ?
Sounds like you're beings needlessly unkind
Shag I often have a breakfast similar to yours , it's a great selection , I'm on 50 grams almonds daily whilst cutting
And you proudly declare you have survived your 42 years , well , I've been working out for many years and if not survived my years iv thrived and hopefully reinforced my body for the nigh on inevitable problems aging may bring x
But you hang in just surviving bruuuuu
Today another day of full body , 5 times week
That is good and yes I like that breakfast too. I am also on a cut and yes those almonds helps alot. I have also about 50g a day and I do full body workouts 3 times a week. I always change how I do it as you have to confuse the muscle memory, another thing about full body workouts are that they are far superior cos of the frequency and rest you get as you have to allow the protein synthesis to recover with 96hrs.

Oh we love it when clients tell us they hate certain things
Squats for me today.
I'm in a particularly grumpy mood, this maybe a good thing! |
