If I feel slightly crap nothing cheers me up and certainly not a bath.

I think telling people who feel rubbish to do something like go for a nice walk is slightly dismissive. Far better to give them a big hug, sit them down and tell them it's OK to feel awful for a bit but if it carries on to seek out the cause and if possible change that or seek professional help.

I'm feeling that way today too. Cleaning my kitchen to feel I've achieved something then going for a bath .

We all have off days, sometimes weeks or months. However things do get better.

It's always okay in the end. If it's not ok then it's not the end x

I'm thinking about going back to bed when I've done the housework.

Or, I might do some of it, go to bed then finish it later.

If I'm just having a meh day, shower, shave my legs, put fresh bedding on as well as clean PJ's and get back into bed feeling the awesome sensation on my legs! Combined with a mug of tea and a chick lit novel, I'm much better after a few hours.

If it's a mild depressive episode, my self care escalates as far as I can manage it- glass of water, then brush teeth, then wash face, shower if I can cope, wash hair next, then try to eat something nutritious that doesn't need much prep (fruit works well)

I felt like this the other night, stag run me a lovely bubble bath and I soaked in there forever. I put some of my favourite songs on and relaxed. I felt so much better after.

I guess it depends on why they are feeling the way they feel. Is it just a bad day or has something happened. Sometimes just meeting up for a coffee and a chat will make everything all good again x

a quandary, could you change my mind?

If I'm feeling really bad, then its try and arrange a little time away, remove myself from the reason.

Depends what is making them feel shit, if I told my best friend to have a bath when she’s grieving for her Mum she’d kick my head in.

If it’s something trivial then music, walks, and the like can make you feel a bit better.

A bath is actually a good idea though, when I felt shit about that guy last year I didn’t bath or do anything other than brush my teeth for 3 days. Didn’t even brush my hair, I did feel better after a bath and washed my hair!

When I’m feeling particularly stressed or shit, I eat, and I eat crap foods.
