Hey guys, besides your day job or some cases night job how do you all manage to get some extra cash? Maybe you invested in something, maybe you work extra hard for yourself, the whole point of this is to give others fresh ideas from what they are stuck to doing |

I have a part time job.
I don't touch the wages from that, goes into a separate high interest account that requires 90 day notice to withdraw from or lose that quarters interest.
Invested money into long term bonds, when I was 18, everytime they mature I reinvest them.
My retirement fund |

I started out writing small articles for a sports magazine as a bit of fun. 8 years later, it's my full time job with pay, perks, trips and travel, all to report back on my hobby |

Buy and sell sneakers. Limited edition pairs released by Nike and Adidas, enter the draws on official websites or End. Then sell on eBay for double sometimes more. People are willing to pay £500+ for some Nike OffWhite for example. |

Aside from the business do some day trading and play about with forex markets. It’s not so much a definite income as playing about with money that we don’t have much to do with though. This month we’re doing well from it, next month who knows.
If anybody’s looking for a side tickle have a look at spread betting, you bet through the bookies, lay through an exchange and leverage the free offers to make profit. It’s not gambling but it does become a bit time consuming after a while. If you’ve got cash to throw in you can realistically make a grand or so a month from it pretty consistently, was just more hassle than it’s worth for us after the initial interest died out. |

Forex or a managed investment (nutmeg) is what we do, got bored of the time consuming side so just pay the management fees instead lol. |

I have an eBay shop. I buy from charity shops and car boots, then resell.
Not a huge return, around £500-£600 per month but a nice little extra.
Just started Matched Betting after a couple of friends taught me the system.
Only earns me around a tenner per day but it's consistant, and one day it will be the big one |

It’s matched betting not spread betting
Matched betting had v low risk if you know what your doing....spread betting has a very high risk even if you know what your doing, most spread betting companies will insist you link a bank account and you can lose more money than you actually deposit into the bookmakers!! |

Determine your talents and interests, then evaluate how they could be used to raise money. If you follow your passions, it's less like work anyway.
Quick bits of help and support for others is a reasonable option - home and life chores and they can be repeated with the same customers, once you prove your value.
Identify gaps in the market for your talents and how you could market yourself. People who know you are good sources of contact with potential customers and business.
Look for permanent needs that aren't going to disappear |

Right you are, had my trading head on when I was typing. Matched betting was what I was talking about. I’m blaming the hangover for that one |

Stocks
Freelance work
Selling unwanted stuff on eBay/FB marketplace
Dealing in antiques/old collectables
Using cashback sites when buying online
Some activity is small, but all adds up. Most profitable for me is the freelancing after out of work hours.

I do photography on the side - 3 or 4 weddings a year. I previously had a small photographic business and last year was flown out to Italy to shoot a wedding. I have also separated off a small part of the house and created an annex which is rented out.
I am very interested in passive income streams (little or minimal work after the initial set-up) ie: stock photo websites, writing an e-book, property rental etc. One of my friends has written a couple of e-books and gets a small income every month - not enough to retire but enough to be able to pay for a nice holiday every year.

Well there are two ways for extra cash in our book: saving on spending and saving/investing.
For the first one we get a percentage of cashback on everything we buy and save on interest paying on the mortgage by making overpayments and reducing the term rather than monthly payments.
For second - savings account, ISA and investment in some shares.
