I used to live happily on my own and then my youngest moved back after the end of his relationship. My beautiful grandaughter stays with us 3/4 nights a week. I miss my own space. Still what are moms for...bless them.

IF you've got a passion for learning, I would recommend MIT Courseware or Khan Academy. Free online lessons in maths, physics, chemistry, programming, pretty much any 'Smart person' subject.

I'm relearning science I did at high school, it's actually real fun.

Too old for clubbing and raving with my younger mates. Not yet decrepid enough to be wanting to watch tv all day at weekends. I probably should have had kids so I could spend my time picking up kids toys, making them packed linches, shouting at em not to run across the road and teaching em how to ride a bike n shit.

Hey if it makes you feel better, I'm miserable too. Nearly 3am and I've spent the last hour crying my eyes out over a boyfriend who will never love me.

Life is shit.

After a 16 year relationship that produced two children, must admit rebuilding my life has felt like one step forward two back at times. But occasionally massive leaps forward, like finding out all that criticism of your lack of DIY or cooking skills were actually a load of bollocks. Sometimes freedom from the shackles of another persons moods and needs are liberating and the peace and quiet is fantastic.

Still like to meet 'the one'again but also discovering new advantages to the single life.
