hi all

i have just heard on 'that peter crouch podcast' (other podcasts are available) that if you see a house with pampas grass outside it means the owners are swingers - what a great idea i must get down to my local garden centre

Pampas grass is so 1980's. These days it’s a wicker heart shaped thing in the window.

My neighbour has pampas grass. Apparently its a nightmare to get rid of! Maybe I should get some though.

The A road I live on has it growing down the central reservation for about 3 miles. Not sure how that translates.

Hillside desolate

It means they've bought a house with a lovely big pampas grass in the front garden and have no idea what it means.

I must pay more attention next time I visit my local branch of Screwfix. They have a huge one outside.

I've got some in my front garden, all it means is someone planted it years ago for no other reason than they liked it....possibly, maybe! It looks lovely when it lowers, if that's what you call it.

Does it get 'flowers' on it? What do they look like?

More like feathery things. Maybe the swingers that planted it like being tickled with them

Could be painful. I've no idea what they use these pineapples for but swinging there is called Pineapple life(style).

You can search for 'pampas grass' on google maps to see where all the swingers live.

it can take 4 years to grow from seed so it might be the last owners who were.

I once knew a guy who was well looked after by the police as he informed on everyone ...

he was a pampered grass.
