....are men always portrayed as stupid or dull but women clever and sassy?
Why, if portraying a mixed race couple, is she white and he’s black, but never the other way round? |

I haveve noticed this for as long as I can remember and have always been told I'm imagining it. I'm not. Men get a raw and unfair deal in adverts.
Men in adverts often fall into the below catgories..
The 40 ish family dad that doesn't understand how the world works and is made to look like an idiot in front of his kids, with the wife popping in at the end smiling sarcastically because he probably just shit himself.
The 30 ish or over 50 husband that is hen pecked into getting life insurance presumably, so the wife can off him once she gets bored.
The single male in his 20's. He's either dressed like a berk selling pasties, beer, or flash detergent. Or its the ridiculously handsome male that gets to sell Cars and Gillette razor blades.
Women can't look stupid in adds now, it's not very PC. Men however we are fair game. |

Because imagine tbe almighty shit storm if they portrayed thw woman as stupid.
But this is cause youre watching adverts aimed at women.
Adverts aimed at men used to tell us we were awesome, Gillette adverts for instance were basicaly just solid positive vibes now theyre "you're a dirty rapist".
But anyway the stereotyping you described is actually illegal now in the uk.
And the mix race coupels thing is a reflection of reality for mixed race couples |

Actually it does.
Men have a flatter distribution curve for iq.
More women fall into the average range around 100 with very few extremes.
Men on the other hand again most are average but the small difference means at the extreme men are overrepresented by mkre than 2 to 1.
Which means there are far more incredibly inteligent men but also far more massivly sub normal men.
Its why theyre more represented in science and industry and also prison populations.
This couple mean inteligence is determined by the X chromosome so men woth only one are more vunerable to fluctuations (which happens for a few things ) while women are more stable with 2.
This also means inteligence is inherited feom the mother not the father in male offspring.
Nature likes to use males to "test" mutations as it's less risky to survival rhis works by women having 2 xs men 1 so mutation occurs more rapidly in men |
