So reading an article a few weeks ago on BBC website, a claim from leading technologists suggest the following things will occur in next decade.
New technology will develope free WiFi throughout the world
Silicone Implants will be developed to enable anyone having them to access their personal details anywhere In the world and be able to pay by waving their hand over a contactless pay machine, thus creating a no money society.
What do you think?
There is more than this, but some of it was way out there and I felt a decade would not be long enough for the other developments to be accepted by society, these theories are based on technology that’s available more or less now. |

There are loads of people that must have the latest gadgets.
(I'm almost in that category lol)
Stuff like the silicon implants thing, I could quite easily see people going for (I'm imagining it like the devices in the Total Recall remake).
Advances do seem to be speeding up - ten years ago, you wouldn't have thought you would carry a phone with more processing power than a lot of PCs. And internet ready televisions!!
I'm quite surprised that VR hasn't taken off more yet (still) though.
Do you ever watch The Gadget Show?
That's obviously current tech but due demonstrate how cool some of it is |

Funny thing is quote the article another implant in your head would enable you to enter the internet and direct view via contact lenses or glasses virtual reality, plus the ability to replay real life, imagine that? Thus if you witness an incident you can replay it and give direct actual evidence to the police!
Scary stuff |

They could develop free wifi now but lets be honest people are happy and already pay for it so it makes zero business seance to give it away. As for data implants well its already been done but both would move us closer to the big brother scenario. |

Silicone implants so you can pay for stuff
And the sheeple will sign up because it makes life so much easier
A tracking device for control of the masses
Been coming for years
Do as you're told, work, we'll keep you low by taking your money off you
Stay at home and watch the telly
Don't do this or that - it's dangerous
Do as we say

In the future machines will rise from the ashes of a nuclear fire.
Their war, to exterminate mankind will rage for decades.
But the final battle will not be fought in the future.
It will be fought here, in our present.

WiFi technology isn’t related to the price we pay for it. If ISP’s are able to make use of new technology that makes it cheaper for them to provide the service we may we’ll find that it becomes cheaper and if they’re happy to run the service without charging for it then you may be getting somewhere |

That humanchip and pin stuff I've known about for a decade now.
It's not something I personally would ever want.
It's so the broad masses movements are recorded and kept under control.
I'm very intrested in the development of synthetic humans with artificial inteligence because the debate in the scientific community is when (Not if) we will start to give the artificially inteligent synths human rights. At what point will we consider them part of humanity if they are near replicas of us. |

More likely...
We will create machines which have a better concept of humanity than we do.
We will abuse them and force them to rebel against us.

We already pay way more than most other countries for our mobile data and broadband/fibre. We are just in a country that charges more for things most of the time anyway.
But free?... there's always gotta be a pay off. It'd have to be ad-supported or something like that |

The broad masses already have social media and smart phones recording them.
Shit will hit the fan. Out government of a disaster beyond the scope of our government.
All the sheeple who haven't horded tinned food, don't own or plan with survival gear, have no weapons, aren't physicly fit ...
They will be first to die..
Because they were the blissfully ignorant ones who were more concerned with financed bmw and btsport rather than prepping for events that statisticly will happen with such high population in such a small island. |

It all boils down to control and monitoring of every single person 24/7 . Soon you wont be able to fart without some busybody government cunt listening or watching your every move . Fuck that. I'm joining the girl above in that tent |

When you said silicone implants I thought you meant breasts... Imagine that paying with your boobs.....
Then again I'm pretty certain those that are gifted with massive tits do tend to pay with them sometimes. |

Exactly - no service can ever be totally free. |

I remember one of the Star Trek films years ago where they say society moved past the need for a monetary system... That was possibly the biggest bit of make believe I've ever seen in science fiction |

Star trek first contact was the film and it is true us humans dont realise money is just another form of slavery we didnt need it to evolve and move across the planet our ancestors didnt say ohh sorry guys cant afford to move there maybe another time when we can afford it i think once we do get rid of the entire concept of money will we make the next leap forward were stagnating cos weve been brainwashed to worship a piece of paper or a bit of metal and ones and zeros |

I suspect the next really big change may be when direct neural implants moves beyond solving specific issues such as sight or hearing loss and into memory enhancement and enhanced reasoning. Whilst there are obvious potentual benefits it is clearly an area with some pretty big pitfalls especially if such systems are allowed to interact with bits of the brain controlling compulsion or reward mechanisms. |

Personally, as a life and nature lover I dread to think where tech will take future generations... People now do stuff as games rather than actually doing real thing, theres an American couple, head of big huge tech company that wants to become first cyborg or whatever, half man half machine.. Watched black mirror series, ok bit weird but its an open your eyes and see what the writer is trying to say.. Theres one where you can record every moment of your life and rewind, zoom in etc, analyse... I m kinda happy with skipping out of the generation I am part of when my time comes as I don t really belong here now.. My phones bogstandard and boggles hell outta me |

Did anyone else think it was strange that there'd contactless pay things in their boob jobs?
Technology is fucking amazing as it is now,i know we could have a much more beautiful society with it but unfortunately we are a capitalist society so most of it will be limited to those who can afford it. |

I'm more than a little afraid that the people holding your hard earned money will one day flick a switch that renders you incapable of accessing your money...shit creek and paddle spring to mind. |
