Do scars bother you?
They never really bother me but i know some people get self concious about them if they have them and some find them a turn off on others.
I noticed when playing round with filters for the new pic black and white shows up all the dozens on little scars that i have that normally dont show in pics.
The big ones obviously are always visible but the black and white shots made me realise just how many small ones there were.
So scars, strechmarks and other things do they bother you on yourself and do they bother you on others? |

They don't bother me and I have one or two. One particularly bad one on my arm when i got attacked with a knife. I'm hoping scars don't bother but I am self conscious about mine so thank you for this thread interested to see the responses |

They used to I have extensive scarring from the knees down and around my right hips. I hated wearing shorts as they are quite noticeable. I got used to it in the end.
However over last summer I had four more incisions made and further complications. So I’m going to have to go through all the unease again. They look awful at the moment very angry. |

I knew a lady once who's face had been badly burnt as a child and had left her with prominent scars covering much of her face. When she interacted with someone new their first instinct was to look at her and almost flinch away, happened a lot. But she was very confident herself and would have had a bit of fun with the person about looking at her funny and eventually this put them at ease and they never looked at her that way again. What I'm trying to say is that if you are scarred yourself and you try to hide it or it bothers you then people will pick up on that and then become conscious of how they act around you. But if you are confident and show people that it has absolutely no effect on you whatsoever then that should translate to how they see and treat you. I try to see people for what's inside anyway |

"No.
Out of curiosity how about facial scarring?"
They don’t bother me, have a few small ones on my forehead. They bothered a photographer though, he edited them out, thinking I’d want that. Had him put them back in the image. Had them since I was 1, I’ve never known my face without them.
Same as my knee scar. The scars show on some pics, but they’re always with me, so no point hiding them xx |

Not at all our bodies are like a tapestry for our life experiences, scars and the like are just part of the story behind the tapestry.
I only have a couple of small ones with a couple of little stories behind them. But some scars have important life changing events behind them. Each one is part of what makes every individual unique and some provide connections with others who have similar. |

For those woth scars how do ypu feel abput orhers touching, stroking and kissing rhem during sex?
I think people naturally seek out "landmarks" on a lersons body and i notice the scars get a lot of attention during foreplay or afterglow closeness |

They don't bother me in the slightest. I have my own and I've had people occasionally ask what they are. I'd rather they were openly curious than just stare.
Anyway, surely I it would be weird not to have accumulated a few permanent marks over a lifetime. |

Depends. My ex had a scar on his forehead. He couldn’t bear it to be touched. |

Other people’s scars don’t bother me in the slightest. I sometimes get a little self conscious of my excessive tummy stretch marks but soon forget them. No one has ever remarked upon them that I know of. They’re as much a part of me as my smile. |

I don’t think I’d like it. Drawing attention to it would make me feel uncomfortable and part of it is more sensitive than the rest so I wouldn’t want it to be touched or stroked either |

Scars wouldn't bother me at all unless they're too sensitive to be touched and in areas that would make play awkward.
I'm quite grabby when Im really into it and the last thing I'd want to do is hurt someone. |

I’m not a fan of my big scars but as they’re on my back I don’t really see them, but if I didn’t have them I’d not be living the life I do so I guess I’ve learnt to accept that they’re part of me.
The keyhole ones on my stomach don’t bother me in the slightest as they’re almost invisible! |

I hate my scars as they remind me of the shitty times I've had in my life. I've tried bio oil but they didn't fade. I don't like them being highlighted, I feel embarrassed about them. |

Scars are just life - the accidental ones, the necessary ones, even self inflicted ones - they all have a story to tell, from the mundane to the dramatic or sad. Very very few people have no scars at all of some sort and you never know when you might acquire some more! |

I was very self conscious about the scars from my first surgery until my most recent surgery. The first ones are tiny and have faded. The most recent one is large and obvious, but is a sign of what I've been through and is nothing to be ashamed about. Although it gets me some sometimes comical reactions. |

Scars on other people don't bother me at all and to be honest I hardly notice them unless they are big ones but I'd be more intruged how and why but would never ask in fear of making someone uncomfortable . I do have a rather prominent cesarian scar which I really hate and am really paranoid about ...luckily it hides in underwear but very noticeable when naked ....hubby loves it and reasures me it isn't that bad but you know how critical we are of our own body's .

So relieved to read these comments on this thread. I have quite a prominent scar from my neck to my butt crack on my back and I am very paranoid about it. To the point of even contemplating telling potential playmates before getting naked as it makes me feel so self conscious, but I don’t feel quite so bad after reading the comments on here! |

I don't take much notice of scars.
If there was a big one that looked like it was from an operation I might be nosy and ask what the OP was.
One of my old regular partners has scars from bowel surgery and was worried the first time he undressed in front of me, covering them with his hands. So, I moved his hands and kissed them, before I sucked his cock. |

I don't care if people have scars from accidents or even self inflicted. I slept with a lovely girl who was a self harmer and it didn't put me off.
Seen a bdsm inflicted scar of a horrible word though recently and I think it's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life. A major hard on killer that does put me off. |

I have one on my face. As a child, not so great, as children can be cruel. I did have plastic surgery at 16 but only to reduce the scare so it’s still there. I’m not bothered about it and forget it’s there till people notice and point it out (usually a few years after I’ve met them!) |

I have quite a few scars, one of which is very obvious and bothered me a little, but have since got another which has gone hypertrophic and looks quite raised and angry which I am very conscious of; I have been using bio oil for the past 7 months to no avail and recently started using ‘Scar Gel’ and within 2 weeks I have seen an improvement. I like to see them on others as they tell a story and make me feel better lol |

I was told to rub the bio oil in quite vigorously, not gently. To break down the scar tissue. Twice a day for 15 minutes. Scar is now just a faint flat white line.
I have other scars that are raised and white but no-one has ever mentioned them which I find a bit odd. |

I was quite rigorous with the rubbing in of the bio oil, but doesn’t seem to have done much. Scar Gel has definitely faded it within a couple of weeks; going to keep using it for the recommended 2 months and see how it goes.
