I'm assuming it's very tiring driving an F1 car and you need a lot of physical strength and stamina for your size.

How tall are F1 drivers on average? Are they like jockeys?

There is a need for a high level of physical fitness ... but there are no rules in formula 1 that precludes any sex creed or colour from competing on an equal footing

They have to be squeezed into the cock pit of the car so they can press one button to tell the car to race....everything else is by remote control from the pit

Wowzers! So a racing driver disabled to the point where he has almost no use of his right arm, is STILL better than the best female driver...... Who knew!!

Don’t think there will be a female F1 driver for at least the next decade as there isn’t any genuine talent coming up through the junior catergories at present.

There is however a new championship just for females starting this season, but it is not a feeder series for F1

Any of the top f1 teams would absolutley kill to have a competative female driver the sponsorship/publicity angle would be worth a fortune to the team.

But not many girls get into racing so there is a very limited pool to choose from.

And like most things its statistics there may be a Hamilton beating woman driver out there but she never went karting never got i to racing and so never got the skills or job.

They have just started a womens only formula series but existing female racers dont seem.interested so its likley to end up a very second class race series and die quickly

"I reckon cis female drivers should be allowed to drive. What say you?"

They are allowed to drive Suzie Wolf was the test driver for Willams and there was a female F1 driver a few years back.

I don’t know if it’s because there are less women drivers in general for the truly talented to rise or if it’s sponsorship but neither of the two who almost made it were actually good enough to get a regular seat.

At the end of the day teams want the results so if a woman can deliver for them they would sign them up in an instant

Yes Susie Wolff became the first woman in 22 years to drive in an F1 weekend when she took part in FP1 at the British Grand Prix on July 4 2014.

Yeah, he didnt get the place last year as the other guy came with nearly 20 million

But think just how much a woman would bring in sponsorship.

The skill/capability ofset must be huge to counteract that advantage so as much as you're desperately trying to say its sexism it just isnt

Lack of interest.

Same reason women on the whole go for low paying caring professions.

Irritatingly for the feminists women apprently have minds and ambitions of thier own which dont align with the "women should be men with vaginas" line of modern feminism

With so many 'pay drivers' I am not sure talent is paramount in getting a drive, so a well backed sponsored woman could get a foot in the door, or like many of the young lads...a very rich Father. Keeping the seat is a different matter & talent decides that...more so, but not exclusively..
