The adverts put me off it, with her standing up crooked over and over to look more menacing? she just looks strange, it really put me off.
It will have to be better than that heap of junk black panther. |

Agreed, the bigger Marvel films have moved away from being intelligent character led to CGI led ham acting. Almost by the numbers world monuments blowing up spectacularly.. |

In a way it was almost ridiculously racist. Can you imagine the director "No! I want you to sound MORE African! I don't care if you have never been there. Here, watch some old Tarzan films and do that." It would be like saying to a British cast "OK, everyone talk like the pathe news guy. And wear a bowler hat."
And the fight scenes? The mass CGI was crap, most of the fights were poor, and the climactic fight scene with the main baddy? 2 characters dressed identically in black outfits fighting at night (using bad cgi). Couldn't see a thing.. |

I loved it. I also loved that my young people referenced Martin Freeman's character as just the 'White dude'. Not something they've ever been able to do before.

I'm a massive marvel fan but I'm slightly excited for captain marvel. Trailers haven't been captivating that much compared to others but I reckon it will do well though just because the majority of people who will go and see it, will want to see how it links to End Game which is next month! Now that will be an end of an era for the original avengers!
Sorry it's slightly late at night and my inner nerd has come out |

For the MCU to carry on though wakanda is going to have to be retconned out. My guess is that thanos's click eill have decimated wakanda meaning while it's still a thing it wont be a part of earth politics any more |

So the mary sue quesrion is a 100% yes.
Nearly every other film in the franchise would have been 10 miniutes long if fury had bothered to text essentially god to come and fix things. |

I'm hoping dark phoenix does itself justice especially when x men 3 failed miserable with the phoenix showing up and being the centre of attention. Reckon it will be alot better as they purposely reversed all of the events in days of future past for the reboot! |

"Going to see it with my sons and then New Avengers film (they reminded me it's out next month), I'm looking forward to Dark Phoenix the most
Dark Phoenix might be a let down. " Some people have said Black Panther was a let down but I really liked it, so everyone will have their own opinions as usual |

Seen this last weekend it very good movie entertaining and funny well worth going to see. All the marvel films fit together store line wise one way or another, only wish they had made and released them in order. |

"Marvel is really tryna squeeze every drop out of the brand now. Personally I'm far more interested in Dark Phoenix though that is a few months away. "
Only problem is, she'll always be Sansa Stark to me lol |

If you want to be really nerdy, Google the actual time lines - it's really detailed (and fascinating that they've gone into that level of detail) |

Well they haven't kept to the time line exactly. I'm sure Monica Rambeau was Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers, in fact I think she's like the 4th or 5th incarnation. |

The MCU is conpletely separate from any comics continuity. |

Yes I know the MCU is set in a different universe to explain the lack of continuity. I was just saying they haven't kept to the comics (Earth-616) time line. |
