Really sad news
I remember playing basketball in the old school gym along to Experience. Happiest of my school days.
And watching him on the main stage headlining at V _estival was my favourite _estival moment. Only just listened to Fat of the Land on saturday. |

I get to see 100’s of bands live- Prodigy were by far one of the best- only a few months since the last time. No Good will always be a favourite hands up banger and significant tune from my clubbing days! |

"So very shocked to hear this.
Saw them headline Glastonbury in 1997.
WOW what an amazing set. They owned the Pyramid stage that night.
RIP Keith "
same year I saw them |

Very sad news
I saw them perform in 1997. They were phenomenal. Like Alimark said above, one of the best live acts I've ever seen.
And we shared the same birthday too |

Battling with depression and drugs is a horrible place to be in, throw in being famous it must of been a nightmare for the guy, I grew up with his music, the album ‘fat of the land’ was my soundtrack to growing up, I was 14 when that was released. I actually feel like a part of me has gone. Prodigy greatest hits on repeat please Alexa |

"Oh wow really!?! Grew up with Prodigy...... Awesome times RIP KF"
Same here. I was saying to P earlier, Prodigy were one of my favourite groups in my rave days? Plus they kind of evolved their music as I evolved my taste so sort of grew with me? ??
RIP Keith, no age to go. |

Hands up who who thought back in '94 that he'd make 49?
Anybody of a certain age who couldn't be excited by the Prodigy in some way or other needs to discover country & western.
I don't speak as a fan, btw. |

Seen them on their last three tours, Keith was the ultimate showman. Looked so happy when we saw them in December, if suicide is true I guess he was maybe suffering from depression and having gone through one side and out he other he must have been in a real bad place and no one knew ! |

Best gig I've ever been to was prodigy at Ushuaia in Ibiza. The set, the light show, the atmosphere were just mind blowing.
RIP, another amazing band I'll never see live again |

Genuinly saddened to see another talent gone. A lovely guy, supportive of other bands and loved his motorbike racing.
Still love Experience, still listen to it in the car.
Just love them! Still sound good all these years later. |

One of my great regrets is to have never seen them perform as they certainly had a significance in my late teens, like everyone else of my generation. I did however meet him many times at the pub he owned and he was honestly one of the nicest guys, he had time for everyone but particularly the old boys who'd come in for a pint early evening. He'd make a point to sit down, listen to their stories and have a proper chat with them, never rushing them. Truly a lovely thing to observe. Not one bad word about him locally, I think everyone is so sad. Me, I'm gutted. Rest in peace Keith x |

I saw a lovely tweet about Keith Flint, apparently he owned an old pub with a mate, they had a swear jar in the pub, which would fill up regularly. He would often get the kindling and logs in during the evening and if anyone made the obvious joke they had to put money in the swear jar. |

The James Blunt Tweet in full says more about Keith than anything else.
‘At the Q Awards years ago, when Noel Gallagher was saying he was leaving Ibiza because I’d moved there, and Damon Albarn refused to be in the same picture as me, and Paul Weller was saying he’d rather eat his own shit than work with me, Keith Flint came over, gave me a hug, and said how thrilled he was for my success.
‘Keith, I only met you once, but I shed a tear at the news of your death. In our business, there are no prizes for being kind, but if there was, that Grammy would be yours.’ |
