My thumb is less than 30mm side to side...
How do I know? Because I had a nice early start in the workshop, and while tidying the work bench, I accidently nailed myself to it with a 30mm nail
Knew I should have fixed the safety lock on the nail gun! |

I escaped the bench by pulling the nail all the way through, so no I am not still attached to it! obviously sprayed blood all over the project I was clearing space to finish. Which is annoying.
And no the cat had about as much sympathy as you lot, so she hasn't called anyone, with no help from her I just put some polishing cloth and duct tape on it to stop it leaking.
When the throbbing stops I will go and clean up, see if I can save the project. |

Surigcally removed an excess 3mm of finger tip with table saw, crushed little finger in oily engine so it had to be scrubbed clean before stitching. removed age spots by sliding back of hand down race track at 150mph... come to think of it given the choice my hands would probably move out |

All sorted, project is recovered with a bit of extra sanding, workshop cleaned up and thumb now wrapped in proper plaster.
And I have not only fixed the nail gun, I have unplugged it and put it away. Life is good and for the next hew days I have a holy thumb |
