"What is it "
High voltage low current modulated electric shock machine. Similar to those slimming belts that are supposed to excercise you abdominal muscles to lose inches off your waist, while you sit in front of the TV watching soaps and eating biscuits. |

I was in a club in the States and a lady had hersef wired up to a Violet Wand type thing and invited people to touch her.
I swear she must have had it turned up to 11.
Made my toes curl and then some. Not for me I'm afraid. |

I love how almost everyone answering here has no experience of e-stim. E-stim or electrostimulation is an activity designed to bring pleasure and not pain (although admittedly it can be used that way).
Low voltages and tiny currents are used to stimulate the nerve endings which is interpreted as pleasure by the brain. Electrodes are used externally or internally to direct current flow through nerve clusters and modern e-stim control boxes (not TENS units that are designed for pain relief) can deliver incredible sensations.
sub'r' can orgasm using e-stim equipment completely hands-free in under ten minutes and often does so in front of curious audiences in clubs as we enjoy introducing others to this activity.
Another form of electroplay is the use of Violet Wands, these use incredibly high voltages (in the region of 30,000V - 50,000V generated by an Oudin coil) again with tiny currents to stimulate the skin. As with e-stim it can be used for pleasure or pain, it all depends on how you use it and the experience of the person using wielding the wand. You can get very creative with Violet Wands, especially when using a body contact lead.
We love Violet Wand play because of the amazing visuals and noise you get with this style of play and we have a reconditioned medical unit for the 1940's that is incredible.
We have been conditioned from a very early age that electricity is dangerous and that is why the idea of doing it scares most people, but by using the right equipment it can be used as an amazing way to obtain hands-free orgasms safely. |

I purchased it, I measured the output on an oscilloscope. I attached it to my person and discovered all by myself that it did NOT give me any pleasureable sensations at all.

"I have two Erostek boxes and a variety of attachments. Love them both equally for the pain and pleasure they can give. "
I need to get myself a couple of Erostek boxes. I have only used E-stim Sytems and Electrastim units and both are amazing. |

"What machine are you talking about?
E stim.
What type of e-stim box. E-stim is an activity not a product. I am genuinely interested in what product you were using."
It's called an Estim branded as Estim.
That's why I called it an Estim. |

Probably a rebranded TENS unit. What sort of voltages were you getting out of it? A made for play Electrostimulations box delivers about 50V-70V as a Bi-phasic waveform while TENS units often deliver up to 350V at low currents. |

Like most products on the market there are two types, one with preset power settings and one you can adjust.
For those looking to start playing with this, go for the preset ones. The ones with self adjustable settings can also be used for branding. So just a little caution needed.
Go to somewhere reputable, ask questions, go to a local swamp when it is being demo'd, a local kink club which has someone experienced and then experiment with it. |
