Any shows from your younger days that you loved and now your kids love too?
Any shows you shared that they absolutely couldn't stand?
My girls are currently geeking over Buffy having loved Friends.
I was particularly happy that they dug The Mighty Boosh. |

Star Trek and Colombo.
Hadn't spoken to my eldest in a while when she phoned and said "mum, I was just watching Colombo and thought of you. Remember the days when you used to braid my hair whilst we watched Colombo". My daughter is now 36 with kids of her own. |

wait till the kids discover a tv programme on their own and start to tell you about it and to explain it to them.
then you tell them all about it.
confuses the hell out of them, evil laugh.
you then have to spend weeks convincing them you have seen it, until they hit google/youtube. so you suddenly realise how old you are now and how long ago the show was on. |

Rainbow amongst others for my wee one... Strange thing is she doesn't go for many cartoons from my childhood as they look basic and therefore boring to her, but shows with human actors and puppets she quite likes!

"Now here's a show that's a real classic some mothers do have em frank Spencer my kids love it 'oh Betty' or I'm a man lol"
That sort of physical comedy is timeless. I've shown mine Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd and they love it! |

""League of Gentlemen" - they were only 10 and 12 an the time; and to this day, they still greet their mother with "Hello Dave" "
Ditto. We confuse people regularly by greeting each other this way. Hadfield is a regular place of pilgrimage. |

Funny...all I remembered were the silent tears, as I didn't want any crying when I watched Colombo, but she remembers it as a happy time. |
