Yes it appears M&S do. They call it the classic walnut Whip.

I never go M&S. It's a bit of a trek for a walnut whip.

Maybe more to do with costs and the rising prices of importing walnuts?

Has anyone died from a walnut off a walnut whip?

I went into farmfoods the other day for the first time in about ten years, and there they were, proper walnut whips with a big old proper walnut on them just like they used to be.

They still do Walnut Whips but they also do Whips. The package is virtually the same so I made the mistake of buying Whips.

I saw a box of 6 Walnut Whips for £2 somewhere on Friday and now wish I'd bought them.

A Walnut Whip with no walnuts what's the world coming to. As a kid i used to buy one on the way home from school paid for out of the bus fare money and then walk home. At that time the bottom of a Walnut Whip was also covered in walnuts, which i think they stopped doing years ago.

Has anyone died from a walnut off a walnut whip?"

If you have a tree nut allergy then you would get a severe allergic reaction from one. But then nut allergy sufferers avoid them and foods with hidden nuts are much more dangerous.

Don't panic people, I've spoken to my contact in the industry (my mate Dave who owns the local sweet shop). He assures me that walnut whips are still available in their original form. There are also "walnutless" varieties called "whips" (great imaginations, these chocolate folk) which come in vanilla, caramel and mint/dark choc flavours.

Did you know walnut whips were originally created in Scotland?

The plan today was to go M&S and buy walnut whips. 3 with walnuts and 3 without and perform a comparison.

Instead I stayed in bed all day.

I did ruminate the whole walnut whip quandary and concluded the Tea Cake is more or less a walnut whip just with out the walnut.

There is also the snowball if that's your bag and your into that.

It was not a productive day.
