Hi all.
Had my Exploratory Surgery this morning.
Good news is that suspected Oseophagus blockage wasn't that, but instead, whilst it is healthy, where it enters the stomach, there was massive inflammation.
The Doc's reckon it has been caused by excessive Acid Reflux but to be safe, they took Biopsies to test for & rule out cancer.
It's been stressed no surface cancer signs are obvious but the results have been marked as High Priority; results by next Friday as opposed to the usual 3 wks.
Meanwhile, I'm on a special diet, a bit bland but designed to reduce further aggravation of the inflamed area. |

I'm already on 1 Med to combat it so may need to increase dosage level. But that will be Gastric expert's decision.

It's been stressed no surface cancer signs are obvious but the results have been marked as High Priority; results by next Friday as opposed to the usual 3 wks.
Meanwhile, I'm on a special diet, a bit bland but designed to reduce further aggravation of the inflamed area.
That sounds positive, Iain. Acid reflux is a bugger, causes all sorts of problems.
I'm already on 1 Med to combat it so may need to increase dosage level. But that will be Gastric expert's decision.
