So I just saw someone say they were waiting on the RAC to come fix a puncture. To me that's basic car maintenance and most drivers know how to do it.
Conversely I have no idea how to fold a fitted sheet.
Do you have anything you think you probably should've learned but haven't? |

A lot of newer cars come with a can of tyre weld instead of a spare wheel. Depending on the puncture area and severity, tyre weld wont always work so you have to call someone out to it.
I am capable of changing a tyre. And folding a fitted sheet! |

Not very unusual these days. A lot of company cars have this policy as they say due to health and safety your not allowed to fix a puncture yourself and they remove the spare tyre Also. It’s a total pain in the arse so much so why I demanded a spare tyre due to the health and safety of myself and the risk of me sitting on a dark road at night waiting on the big yellow van and the possibility that I might get attacked or even worse sexually assaulted |

I would have agreed in the past but some vehicles don't come with a spare tyre and others that do are massive you only have to look as the SUV's about these days. |

I remember the days when your spare tyre matched all the others on the car and not these ridiculous space saver things.
That said, your roadwheels were generally a lot smaller then. My first three cars all had 13 inch rims - my current cars have 16 and 17 inchers - and they're a lot fatter too |
