A right muppet on eBay. Whom we bought a bike off has started sending really really abusive messages to Delilah because she stated the facts about the item and transaction.

Would you send a bike that has been through a mud puddle just before going in the box. Not at all like its picture.

This bloke would be on the floor if he spoke to her like that in person, why do people have to be so rude?

Rant over.......

Sadly that would only work with a big corporation and a static IP address or if not using a VPN

"Does mud not wash off?"

Of course it, does but when pics show it clean and sparkly then it arrives shitted, up kinda not really sold as seen.

Had the muppet said that a bike which we paid £250 for would be used up to day of posting prob would of left it.

Principle rather than the actual mud which has already been cleaned.

Maybe you'd be happy receiving dirty stuff mate but for £250 I wasn't.....

"depends how the facts were stated i guess and how abusive the messages back were"

We only left neutral feedback stating that it was not as in pics ie dirty, and they had not sent any messages to let us know info that we had asked, like when it was sent etc....Even said that the bike itself was great just a couple of small things that weren't great.

Ebays been pretty good to me, everything I've ever sold on there went for much more than it was worth, or I was expecting.

I bought a few off there - the last two I've had have come from there, one was from Edinburgh and came immaculately valetted - freshly oiled, polished, and shining it's arse off. Another frame came to me a bit rough and ready, but it's now a really good rig (I build em, so for me stripdowns and refurbs aren't a problem). A third one for the ex arrived as a scaffed up bag of bolts, but it was cheap and in the end made something rideable, as she wasn't sure she'd take to cycling, but hey.

I think if I'd had it arrive crusted up with mud like it had just done a cross event I'd have been absolutely furious, but you get some rightuns on ebay.

I read an article about an eBay seller who was selling ps3s when they first came out and when the 'item' came via special delivery all that was in the parcel was old magazines. No-one had any proof as PayPal would get intouch with royal mail who would then release the weight of the packet...which was exactly the same as a boxes ps3. Person did it hundreds of times before they were caught by a police force who posed as a customer.

eBay is dodgy like that at times, we use it lots but always nervy if we buy from a non business account. Sorry to hear bout what the guy was sending, get his address from PayPal and beat him up xx

On a side note...search for scally or gay interest in the clothing section on eBay....some real sick people on there....x
