"anyone else doing it this year ??
will be my first..in memory of my dad xx "
Yes I did it for the first time last year.. and had a cancer scare myself.... This year I am racing for my ex hubby..who is sadly not going to see another xmas.. so my daughters and I are racing for him and our female relatives that we have lost.
I want to do the 10k this year though.

My one bit of advice to anyone doing it if your not a walker/runner is.. dont do all your training on a treadmill...
I did.. and on the big day found that it was totally different but wow.. actually doing it.. the sense of pride I got..
Just take your training easy to start with.. as I was totally unfit when I started training for it.. but it spurred me on..
