"even with all the money in the world, you would get bored not working wouldnt you?!!?!"

That's my line of thought

If you enjoy working, why give it up?

Some jobs are tedious but I know many folk that thrive mentally because they enjoy their jobs so much. I've got to admit that the ones I know that are extremely happy have a great working relationship with their work collegues

I f**kin' hate my job btw

I love my work and would not give it up. I might delegate a bit more to make time for other projects, but I would not give it up altogether and while loads of money sounds great, it aint the most important thing in my life

Sense of purpose, a feeling of belonging, to stay ‘normal’, a reason to get out of bed, they love the work they do, to be around the friends you have known and worked with for years….

Thats a good concept actually although I wonder whether it would be better to create more jobs by founding a new enterprise?

In which case, may be if he stopped working it would put others out of work.

I suppose it would keep a balance of normality and realistic goals if you kept working, all be it if you turn up to work in 250 grand car

Maybe he could expand his business and create a few good jobs for peole too.

If you enjoy doing what enables you to subsist in life, you have a chance of enjoying said life.

If you don't have enough imagination to be able to enjoy 44 mil without popping off to work everyday you are a sad fuck.

I like to think it has not changed me and I certainly intend to remain in my job.

I was thinking the other night about lottery windfalls - and decided that it was not the fantasy amounts that attracted me, but the ones that would be just enough to live rent/mortgage and credit free and to have what I earn as a disposable income.

Just getting rid of 3 items on my regular outgoings list would put an extra grand in my pocket every month and I could do so much of what I want to do with that.

worked out I could spend £1k per week for the next 19 years and that is without any interest.

I would be happy with that

+1. It it so sad to see somebody win millions and carry on working. Yes you would get bored after a while but you could do voluntary work to occupy you.
