Ok here is a thread for the ‘freaks and geeks’ of fab, the ones that don’t fit into boxes, the ones that get over looked, if you went to school and always always the last to get picked, then this thread is for you...
Of course it’s open to anyone to join in but if you are a curvy gal or guy, not so well hung or are a bit scared to take that leap, instead of writing I’m in, write a bit about yourself, stand out from the crowd, you never know you might just get a social or a meet from it, what have to got to loose? |

I'll go first then , my name is Bob and I'm here today at fabaholics anonymous to try and get help.
I'm a freak or nerd, slightly over weight and I just enjoy the fab life and I'm hoping one day I can find that special someone. |

Hi bob!
I guess we should say something too:
We are ads and geeky, ads is a full blown nerd but his t shirts fit him if that helps, please don’t think comic book guy from the simpsons
I am not as nerdy as him but put a sci film on and I am happy as a pig in shit, but I’m not into alien sex role play

Yep, unrepentant geek here. Comics, videogames, fantasy and sci-fi, read like a demon, love engineering, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, niche Russian authors, cosplay, DnD, rock music, Dr Who...and I can’t catch a ball to save my life. It’s like someone created a stereotype and I swanned right into it and took up residence.

Ahhhh Lego.... I hate it.... Had an accident one day because of it, one night in the dark I stood on some lego .... Started hopping around on one foot in pain ... Then the leg I was hopping on... The knee twisted and my leg snapped 90 degrees and I ended up falling bashing my head off the plant pot .... Knocked out for a few minutes. |

Natalia Romanova and Major from GitS (comic book version not Johansson’s). I’m trying to pull something together now from a sketch I saw on Instagram by Jessica Madorran (check her out, she’s amazing). It’s Alice in Wonderland but with a big, dock-off time scythe. That is this year’s costume sorted! |

Ads bores me to death about D & D most of the time, love him dearly though lol. So I can feel others pain when someone talks about stuff they don’t understand but that’s what makes you interesting in my eyes, you’ve ‘got something’ you are passionate about and it’s hard to find that sometimes.

Major SF nerd here and guilty of a role play session or two in the past and not the kind more usually associated with fab.
As for physical prowess you need only check the pics to see I’m of the geek persuasion and fond of a little unusual dressing lol |

Average Joe here, hello folks.
I'm very much a geek when it comes to video games and TV shows. I like an anime show in particular called One Piece about a large treasure amassed in "one piece" and hidden somewhere in the world by a pirate. The world is mostly ocean so pirates are a big deal and some of them have powers or abilities when they eat a particular fruit. Like a guy called Luffy who is the hero and has the abilities/properties of rubber because he ate the rubber rubber fruit. All these pirates are looking for the treasure while also trying to take over shit. Its out there like, but it has me addicted lol I love YouTube and follow a few gamers and would watch a video of them playing a game which many of my friends don't get lol but many do. I'm touching 40 but I still feel like I haven't quite grown up yet. Also I'm OCDish about things. Like if I'm sitting at a table and have a book or my phone sitting there I'll line them up so they are parallel with the ends of the tables or it'll annoy the balls off me lol I'm a weirdo at times and I know I'm average at best but I know I'm a decent person which is what counts |

For rugby everyone picked me first which was good.... Mainly because I could just power through everyone and no one could bring me down.... Had the best passing ability never missed a throw or catch....
The teacher said I should of joined the rugby team .... But it just didn't interest me ... No sports not even football , I don't support any teams. |

I was always front row in the scrum due to size but couldn’t keep up with play at other times. I hated havinghead trapped in the middle so was always left hand prop (loose head) |

Always the last to be picked for everything as I was very overweight for a child and had footballer thighs apparently (thanks dad! We didn’t do football for girls then), well apart from the time I lost a ton of weight and suddenly everyone wanted to be my friend.

So what exactly would make you feel “too strange” for this one? Checked out your profile and all looks and sounds good to me. We all have our little quirks and “weirdisms” but that’s what makes us “us” and stand out from the others for various reasons |

It’s shit isn’t it, how people judge you purely on your size like that? Had that all my life..." I remember the day well, it was the first day back from summer holiday and my mum had got me the latest coolest leotard and when all the cool girls saw me and the weight I lost they all come flocking over to me, I had a sudden wtf moment, even at 14 I had my head screwed on a realised why they were chatting to me.

Hello everyone
I'm Mick, I like all the marvels, films and series, any sci-fi fantasy films. Old stuff like labyrinth and dark crystal too. I have been made to feel....well think it's wrong to enjoy what I like to do in the bedroom (see interests) so that has made me feel self conscious and that I'm not 'normal' and that is the reason I'm here looking for like minded people who won't judge you for who you are and what you like to do.
So yea....hello.... |

My name is Jim and I'm a geek. There's so many things I geek over it's unfair to list them (my most recent geekiness has beenbcollecting a complete set of maintenance tools for work), though generally tv, films, comic books, video games, and games, and so on and so on.
Geekiness to me is having something to get enthusiastic about.
In terms of video games, for the last year and a half I've averaged around ten hours a week on Cities Skylines on my ps4. When I'm not playing I'll draw little maps to try and improve my city.
I've been looking to get into games like Magic and Blood Bowl (play Blood Bowl II on ps4 though think it'll be more enjoyable against someone opposite me). |

I'm a geek and a freak.
Love all the geeky stuff that once upon a time was looked down on. Seeing the superhero movies being blockbuster money makers is like a golden age for me, as a kid I thought I would never see since it was something to be bullied about when I was a kid.
I'm also a total weirdo in the way I view the world. I'm not weak enough to think we should all get along but I view the world from multiple angles, there is always more than 1,2, or even 3 sides to a story. |
