I smashed my knee into pieces when I slipped on wet bathroom floor in September. 27 days in hospital, 2 surgeries including one to attach a torture device to my leg (ex fix that I called Igor the Brute), and 5 months down the line I'm still only partially weight bearing... Humans are a faulty design... |

That’s nasty and must have been some spectacular fall. |

"Surprisingly easy to do it seems.
What are your stories on healing and subsequent knee problems?
I can tell you this, it’s fucking agony!"
If you need surgery, you have to get it REALLY soon to work well, pull some strings! |

Saw an ortho GP today and he thinks it’s a small one. My knee is not locking and I can walk ok. I’m to call immediately if it gets worse. |

"I feel your pain, smashed my tibia to pieces in September and also spent over a month in hospital and had two ops and a metal fixator. Still cant walk yet, healing very slow! "
Bloody hell, we’re a clumsy lot! |

Sounds like September was not just my unlucky month... Same here, slow healing, crutches are my necessary accessory |

It wasn't really, just my knee/leg decided to try and see how far it could twist. It went too far |

I had a torn meniscus. Kept locking and I used to fall to the ground. Me and a mate kicked a football at the exact same time. Both ran up to it and went to whack it and the ball just stayed still and we both fell to the floor in agony. Had an operation now and it's fine. The other knees locking now though as I compensated on it for so long. Which in turn messed my back up. My shoulders killing me too... |

"Oh and I broke both my legs just below the knee when I was 15. That was fun!
Ya bastard!!!!!
I’d like to hear that story. "
My mate when I was growing up had both legs plastered straight with a pole to keep them apart. We used to wheel him around in a wheelchair and push him down hills and let go. At his request. We used to push him out of his chair and watch him try to walk. Brilliant! Good days! He used to get his own back don't worry. All in good fun. |
