My son has spent time out in Canada and they love the English accent too
Also I have a cousin who lives out there and she's always telling me that I'd have lots of attention with my accent |

I dated a Girl from Oklahoma many years ago. She liked me but I don't think it had anything to do with me being British per se. I think she just liked that our conversation ended up with d*unken wresting on the grass outside the NAFFI. |

I worked in alberta 2yrs on oil sands obviously with the accent you stand out, had lots lovely conversations with nice people, canadians so friendly too us brits |

Yeah they go moist at the sound of English accents. Even my Brummy accent gets them wet.
I have lived and traveled across various parts of America and I used to get phone calls late at night asking to speak to the English guy. That was quite bizzare.
When you go into to pubs they quickly flock around and just stare at you. Although I am unsure if that's due to not understanding a word I was saying or because they were frothing at the gash. |

This is so true.
I remember once with hubby I went to toilet and came back to him surrounded by women asking 'please say bottle', 'say shoe'...
Shame it was in that cat like voice they seem to put on. |

Some love the accent the same as some do in the rest of the world but you've still got to put the work in.
All the accent does is give you an opening sometimes |
