When someone views your profile but has either blocked people of your sex or your outside of their date range !! The question has to be asked, why look then  No greta deal I know but nyone else find this slightly annoying ? |

Just because they looked it doesn't mean they are interested! You need to wake up people look at profiles all the time I am surprised you hadn't worked this out already.  |

Depending how they came across their profile, they maybe didn’t know how old you are until they got there.
Sometimes people just like having a nosey - I know I do.
Maybe they’re window shopping and prefer to message men they are interested in, instead of receiving messages from men they wouldn’t like to meet.
Maybe they didn’t mean to look. |

Why does the question need to be asked?
They may have seen you post on the forum, or seen your picture and decided to take a closer look.
Or they've expanded their search parameters in case there might be someone just outside of their usual criteria that might appeal but they would otherwise miss.
I can think of several reasons why someone might look at someone outside of their usual search criteria.
They've looked at your profile and haven't messaged. That's all you will or can know.

Why does the question need to be asked?

I sometimes look at someone's profile if they have posted something of interest in the forum.
No interest in meeting them, just seeing what they are about.

If they were interested, they'd message.
Sometimes people look at a profile because of a forum post, not because they were interetsed in a username and a thumbnail of a profile pic. |

I look a lot but rarely make contact. I might or might not be interested in meeting at the time. Maybe you're not what they're looking for. Your profile is there for others to view it after all, no? |

This is why most women I know view profiles in stealth mode - to avoid the invariable "saw you looked at my profile, fancy a meet" messages that often follow if you dare view someone's profile. Like others have said, if the person was interested they would message you. |

People look for all reasons. I look at random profiles. It doesnt mean i want to chat to them. It's just that, looking. If they wanted to message you, they would. This is one of the main reasons I prefer to go stealth mode. So I dont get that 'thank you for looking at my profile' message... |

I like looking at profiles out of sheer curiosity, especially if there’s a particularly attractive profile pic. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I don’t get bent out of shape if people do the same with mine. My message filters are set to what/who I’m looking for.
I’ll also fab pictures if I find them appealing. Doesn’t mean I’m hitting on the person, just appreciating what I see |

I get the just looking and that's fine. It is a little frustrating when a hottie fabs several pics and has message filters on.  Mind you, it's not the end of the world. I often window shop. |
