I've found that one of the first step of self love (aside from masturbation) is to start loving your insecurities. What are the ones that you are beginning to love?
For me, I'm 23 years old and I'm going bald. |

My teeth. When I was little they were literally smashed out of my tiny mouth. I had all adult teeth grow in when I was about three years old. Had teeth removed, but obviously there’s overcrowding.
If I had the money to fix them, I would. But I have a nice smile, so for now I’m fine

I'm not really insecure about anything. There are things I don't care about. For instance people say things to me like "you are funny" (not funny ha ha, funny peculiar) or "it'll be ok once they get used to you" I used to feel as if I needed to be different somehow to compensate for this now I know its them not me |

I also have stretch marks all over my thighs which I love. I have a bit of a belly which is fun to jiggle when I'm alone. And I'm not as tall as I would want to be, and I'm ok with that |

I have a denture, one of my endless idiot thoughts is how to introduce this fact into conversation. |

I have two stretch marks on my belly from the first time I was pregnant and miscarried. I hated them for ages, but they’re fine with me now I have loads on my thighs too |

Oh and I’m on medication that makes my skin itch, isn’t so bad during the day but I usually claw at my skin during the night. My legs are usually red raw or scabby, and I’ve scratched my chest, face, neck etc in my sleep so that can all be red raw too. Annoying in the summer, and a bit embarrassing when I have nights out and people wonder why I’m so cut up |

I'm a woman who is going bald, so I shave the rest off and embrace it. |

My mum gets this has anyone ever suggested diprobase? You might have a problem getting it prescribed (they took it off the list) but my mum's gp made a special case for her. Its about £27 to buy |

I have someone at work who has that and recommended it, I was told no originally but I have a new doctor now and I take the medication less frequently so when I do take it it’s even worse, so no harm in asking again! |

Antihistamines? I use dermol cream. Also try a tube of eurax cream, cheap to buy, one application before bed will almost immediately stop itching. |

Antihistamines never worked I’ll have a look for eurax. Thank you for all the suggestions |

I am quite fond of all my potential insecurities these days. I make self-deprecating jokes about them but they really don’t bother me at all.
My ear and nasal hair growth makes up for my lack of hair on top.
I’ve got more hair on my arse than my head. I did think about swapping my arse for my head but my friends told me there’s no need as I already talk enough shit. |

I'm generally OK, certainly a lot more confident than when I was younger. As far as personality goes, I used to feel horribly shy but I don't give a crap now. I am who I am. Physically, I tend to feel self-conscious if something changes in a relatively short space of time. Until I get used to the new thing then I feel ill-at-ease. Eg, going grey and not being able to use dye anymore, or taking a medication that induces weight gain as a side-effect. Once I get used to my altered appearance I'm OK with it. |

This thread is really lovely, nice one Op.
For me it would be my mixed heritage - the not quite belonging in either culture or conforming to a particular beauty ideal. I didn't particularly like my skin tone, my odd mix of facial features and my hair. Now I'm beginning to love all of those things and recognise how much my uniqueness makes me me. |

I'm not insecure about anything. There are parts I don't like ie stress, genetics and medication meant I've lost my hair. Illness and medication has left bruise like marks on my legs and everything sags, but I'm nearly 60, still breathing and share my bed with a man who looks like Bruce Willis who adores me...in his way! |

"I'm forty two and tend to ignore the parts of my body I'm insecure about rather than embrace them.
"
Not ignore as such, the body image in my head is different to the one I see so I tend to prefer the head me.
That said, my stretch marks also rock. |

Generally I'm confident, laid back and easy going. Not so much so at the moment so need to get back to it! Starting with a bowl of Muesli!
Great thread btw OP |

Not so much an insecurity but i do find it very uncomfortable when people decide the best way to start a conversation is to publically point out or inquire about my scars.
Its very much a case of "yes random stranger i really want or talk about put the darkest hours of my life with you and the rest of the office whose trying not to obviously evesdrop"
And then when i answer honestly they get all weird over it like the very obvious answer wasnt gonna be the answer. |

I began to go grey in my late teens/early 20s and have dyed my hair ever since. I decided last year that I'm going to embrace my grey and started letting the colour grow out. I had my hair bobbed before Christmas and the dye is just in the ends now. Its such a huge relief not to be constantly colouring it and touching up roots, and I actually love my white streaks amongst my dark hair now |

I often get people either surmising I self harmed or
Joking I trod on a landmine in a clumsy attempt to get me to speak of them. |

As you have no pics i have no real ability to judge which is the joke there |

There and to the left a bit |
I have plenty, mostly about physical things and abilities, (or more to the point perceived physical things and abilities) - I mostly manage to embrace them and accept them as part of the ageing process but being an overthinker, I do have periods where they get me down and prey on my mind, to the point that I probably exacerbate the perceived problem for the worse - then something will happen to make me realise it was all self-perception and I'll snap out of it again till the next time. |

I am really insecure about my size.. however, After years of yo-yo and fad dieting I’ve decided to embrace it and love myself for me.. get fitter for me and healthier for me.. if that all results in becoming slimmer then that’s great, but if not I’m finally ok with that! |

The big problem many people have is looking at a "diet" as a short term thing.
Its not, if you want to lose weight and keep it off then that "diet" is just the amount you eat forever |

Lift, lists of insecurities, where to start?
Started going grey at 20
Had front teeth smashed as a child so I have a denture
Multiple surgeries left me with a saggy belly (and currently a post surgical hernia too getting it sorted later this year so more surgery yay)
My brain is weird but I learned to love the weirdness.
I have a skin condition that means I get tummy spots which I hate.
But
I have a lovely face, allegedly gorgeous eyes and I'm smart and compassionate and for a fat woman I have pretty toned strong legs.
Meh
Some days I love myself, some not.
