Well the quote button is there to use if you're directly responding to them so of course you can apply your posts to one person

If it becomes that case like the thread that has just closed and its an arguement, becoming personal and really going round in circles with no resolution then maybe its better to continue via pm and leave it off the forums

Depends on the type of thread, Birthday ones get posted a lot.

Am I also right in saying that you cannot message someone directly who has blocked you?

Not really...people can still answer other peoples posts even if they have each other blocked.

They can't try and contact them through the forums though, ie, ask them to unblock.

"To apply posts in an open forum directly to another poster?"

Ok will put this to bed.

The only time it would be a problem is name and shame on a random post.

If you are in a debate / chat/ banter on a thread with someone then they can quote / comment on your posts.

yup. If your blocked then the only way to respond to a post is in a thread. "

I'm sorry, before we can unblock you, we will need your customer number.

I think the Mods frown upon trying to restart a post if they closed the original. If you have an ax to grind with a member of the site, prob best to keep it away from the forums.

I was just wondering, We have blocked someone however when i asked if anyone was going to a certain club on saturday, the person i am referring to said "i am if you are sarah". Now i understand that nothing is stopping him from going to the club, but i was just wondering how you would handle it if he does approach us in the club? Sarah

That is totally out of context unless you read what led to the comment.

Sorry , but you gave out as much as you took...and why I shut the thread.

My error, i thought it was in English.

You appear to be confirming to everyone that there is no problem with replying to anyone by quote or comment when engaged in debate/chat or banter.

Not trying to restart the thread but to imply that i would like to have a wifebeater in my home is somewhat personal in my eyes, i have suffered domestic abuse and find it neither tasteful or would i condone it

The Fab Mods and admin are terrific, but I really think it is your responsibility, not theirs, to stop the gentleman from attempting to play with you.

I am shutting this now....if you want to ask a mod about a post then thats fine....but it is best to do in mail rather than on the forums quoting which post you want looking at...as cryptic threads don't help me old brain
