.

Relating to the threads about the two brothers who met online. Have you ever had a similar thing happen to you.

Years ago I was looking for somewhere to stay in St Helier and rang a B & B and went to make a booking. The guy asked me for a phone number and this I gave him. When I mentioned the STD code he said, O my wife is from that area originally and mentioned the town. By chance it was where I was brought up and I jokingly said, I bet she knows my Dad.

Not only did she know him, we were distantly related, her step father was my Grandad's brother and yes she knew my dad and his brother. When I mentioned it to my Dad he could remember her but didn't know she had moved to Jersey.

Now of all the B & B's there, why was that the one I chose

Are you sure, a friend of mine has a son, who swears his mum adopted him and I'm his real mum. She just says she wishes it were true and then she could give him back

mines not a relation thing but was quite freaky

we moved to the wirral for a while and the salon i worked in there the guy that owned it commented about how he used to go through northampton on his way to london to visit a girlfriend that had moved there well a coupke of years later we had moved back to northampton and i was doing a lady's hair that had recently moved to the area and i commented on her accent asking where she was from orriginally she said the wirral but had moved to london years ago so had been watered down she was surprised i had picked up on it, i told her i had lived in the wirral so we got talking about the area, well long story short it turned out she was the girlfriend that my boss had been talking about visiting in london

what are the odds, needless to say i played the lottery that week but alas i'm still poor

There was a program on telly some years back about the same thing

Was a brother and sister, they was both adopted and met up my chance as adults got married and had a child, they decided to look for their real families which is when they realised they was actually brother and sister, i mean whats the chances of that? they had been together 10 years and obviously had to get divorced, social services took their child and alsorts, was a very heart jerking story

makes you wonder, even more so after the story if two brothers if subconsciously your drawn to each other

I went for a tyre fitted and ended up chatting with the guy who owned the garage.

It turned out he lived in a house that myself and Mrs Bus had viewed but decided against buying some years before (which wasn't local to where I was having the tyre replaced) - and he had the same surname as Mrs Bus (which is not a common one).

All quite surreal

There was a Court case some while back about paternity and DNA testing and the Mother , in all seriousness, said "there's no need for that i'm sure i am the Mother".

When i was on a dating site i met a man who used to work with my friends dad, years ago only i didnt recognise him as he had put on so much weight, then another man who i met used to live near me when he was a teenager, and i remember him being dead snooty, only when i met him he was actualy quite nice.

Going for breakfast in a restaurant in Orlando that I would not normally use, given a table next to someone I know that lives around the corner.

Or pop into a Halfords in a town I am passing through miles from home and bumped into some I used to work with years ago, he just happened to passing through. We both live at the opposite ends of the country.

It's a small world
