Depends on person.
I once met someone on the same day we exchanged first message... Let's just say the experience was equally brief and not to be repeated.
Usually I would know I want to meet someone within a few days of initial message. The chemistry will be there. But life takes precedence and it may be a week or two before I was able to meet them. Think the longest I waited to meet someone was just over a year... Was worth the wait though |

"Depends on the diary and when we decide we are going to go for it.
Usually quite a while in advance with updates on is it still ok as we get closer."
Oh if non-Fab life looks like it will get in the way I like to try to give as much advance warning as I can, so they can find someone else to meet instead if they want. |

"In advance do you arrange your meets?
Are you a jump straight in ASAP kinda person or do you prefer to wait?
Is it person dependent? "
No, I like to wait to know the person. At nearly 42, I know myself well enough now to know that a spontaneous meet with a complete stranger would not be my thing at all |

"It depends on the person, on how interested I am and of course on the distance thing.
I reckon if the meet doesn’t happen within a month it probably won’t happen. "
There has to be a reason that neither party can pin the other one down for even just a social |

"What's a meet?
It’s where you chat to someone on here and you fancy each other, then you meet at a set location at a certain time. Hope this helps X"
Wow... What's that like? |

I'm a planner.
I know what my childfree weekends are for the whole year ahead, so I've planned things to do with my friends.
Road trips, weekends away, clubs, parties, organised socials months in advance.
I get random days/evenings free, but usually only know the day before, sometimes even only that day.
Chatting with someone, knowing my next free date could be several weeks away, suits me as I like to get to know someone a little first.
Longest I waited to meet someone was nearhy a year, and worth the wait.
But in general, my experience most folk want instant results!

Quite a while!
Work and mainly family life kinda get in the way, on both sides sometimes. Always worth the wait though, the build up is good
Plus they usually live on the other side of the bloody country |

It depends, I prefer to chat build connections and then if I’m free try and arrange something with the people I’ve chatted too. So I don’t just start chatting and try to arrange a meet as such |

Weeks! I don’t do instant meets, I get to know the person properly first and it works for me. Never been stood up at all. Majority of my meets have remained very very good friends. |

Depends on all kinds of things, people, distance, serendipity......often months in advance, sometimes the same day! |

If they lived locally then whenever free for a coffee. If not then I probably wouldn't meet anyone again unless we were both going to the same organised party/Social. We live and we learn |

For us it would have to be planned out, I think because there are two of us we have to be both ‘comfortable’ with the third person and working days out etc as we work every weekend, when I was single I used to be spontaneous though.

The question was how far in advance do you plan.
I answered it can take over a year to arrange something.
I didn't mention travel.
Did you select the Uranus reference from your "Joke a day" calendar? Can't wait for tomorrow's installment. |

Fastest I have met from initial contact to meeting was a couple of months I think, although we had agreed to meet after about a month, and it was another month until we were both free at the same time. |

I take things as they come Rubi.. I'm highly unlikely to meet someone that day. If they're ticking all my boxes by end of the week then I MAY be up for a meet in the weekend.. if I've not got the sprogs. |

I've met people within hours of messaging and never bothered again. Some I've messaged over a longer period before meeting and they've become friends
Depends on the person and what I'm wanting I guess. A quick fuck? Meet quickly and it's short and (sometimes) sweet. |

Varies for me. I've had meets where we only started chatting Fri. Had a social Monday and played later that week. Others where I've chatted for years first. |
