There's one not too far from me that costs £4 off peak and £5 at peak times (weekends) |

Just makes you sound cheap op lol however if you manage to get meets where they don't care about walking into a pay by the hour hotel I'm sure Google can help |

Why does it make him sound cheap? I assume that the other party is paying half the bill so that makes them both frugal.
Or do we still expect the man in 2019 to pay for it all? |

Actually no we don't expect the man to pay, 9 times out of 10 we have paid for the hotel room and the other times have always offered to pay for all the bill.
I will change my first message to WE think it makes him sound cheap and would make us feel cheap too. |
