Ladies those who have tried hook up / dating sites.
Help me out....
I,d be the first to admit I,m not exactly " photogenic"
Think passport photo type, " not eye candy"
Mainly do select purely on initial photo?
Yet have male friends ,are eye candy , get initial interest and occasional meets.
So frustrating cos my lady friends always say I,m good company and Don,t understand why I,m single .... ( and b4 you state obvious they are all spoken for).

Yes. If I'm not attracted to their pics I'm unlikely to engage with them.
That said, the profile is important too. I think it's a glimpse into their personality so I'm looking for happy positive vibes. |

Yes I agree profile is important. " happy positive vibes". Now that's quite interesting , with us guys I,m guessing you mean " confidence " .... but surely if we all did this most profiles would so similar " generic" how do you choose from that..?
Personally if a females profile seems to " positive" I think " oh no too much, drama queen, to full of herself. Or simply false.
Isn,t honesty also an insight into character? Or is it we all simply happy to be deceived and accept reality will innevetibly follow in time ? |

I am afraid it comes across as passive aggressive. My advice would be to ditch all that and say what your positive qualities are. It's possible to do that without seeming up your own arse. |

Yeah confidence is a part of it but also being comfortable with who you are and what you can offer. I don't think it's being deceptive to sell yourself a bit.
And no I don't think it'll become generic, personality comes across inthe way someone writes, it doesn't need to read like a list of boasts, someone who can inject a bit of humour will do well.
You can be positive without being cocky. |

Now your text is sorted... pictures 1 and 3 could be much improved by angle, lighting, pose. Pictures 2 and 5 are pretty pointless really, lighting is all wrong.

I'd agree. Close ups are never great, try standing further back and using the timer on your camera. |
