Not only were there no cards, flowers, chocolates, declarations of undying love etc for me today - but shortly I’ll literally be dealing with the same old shit - emptying mum’s commode, making her supper, cleaning her up and getting her ready for bed!

Nothing compared to the 50 years she’s cared for me though!

Hefty Hideaway

As my 2nd offical single Valentine’s Day I’ve had a brilliant time. Since getting home I made Saff and I a chicken parmo - beautiful if I say so myself, had a foot spa pamper whilst binge watching Stranger Things, pretended to be amused at 5000 Instagram posts that were being giggled at and shown to me, cuddled my Patterdales, had a shower, popped after sun on my sunbed burnt skin (rookie error I know but that cool feeling is so lovely) and now it’s time to get myself in bed with my life partner the electric blanket where we are going to Netflix and chill.

Seriously it’s been awesome.

And waking up alone was quite nice.
