I think of other forum users that I like a bit like pen friends. The ones that given an appropriate opportunity you’d meet up with for coffee or a meal with if they are in your area or you’re in theirs. There are others that given the opportunity I would enjoy much more than a coffee or meal with. Whereas random Fab users are just that, and the distance just makes it seem that much more random. However there are a few I’ve chatted to but inevitably the interest wanes quite quickly. |

We like to meet ppl who are not local and many times even others are in the same boat.
Also it gives an opportunity to travel around meeting people and knowing them. Mostly we love the accents . Amazing |

I never actually check location when I find a message I like hence friends that end up being hundreds of miles away. I have a helicopter on the christmas list. |

I am not looking for any new meets at present, but when I do, distance is important. I don't drive myself, and I don't want people having to drive for hours to meet me, as then the expectations from their part might be too high. I have also had conversations before with people (read: men) from far away who, to me saying they were too far, replied: 'but you say you can accommodate?'. Yes, I can accommodate, if I agree to meet someone for some intimate fun, but I'm not a hotel! So my rule, when I do meet new people- no more than an hour drive. |

I like to travel but generally only travel to people I've conversed with from the forums. Recently travelled and it was a bad meet so its put me off traveling to a degree now. I do regularly travel a hour each way to see my fb but he's worth it |

I will respond to all messages regardless of distance as long as they are not rude or disgusting. Most of the messages I ignore are from guys asking if I want my balls drained. I only changed my message filters to let them contact as I'm looking for a social in Bristol next month, since I did a week ago I've had 3 of those messages fs |

"Is it just me or when someone from far away messages do you think what's the point and not reply yet happily converse with forum users from all over "
Some people do travel I guess if you are interested ask them if they do. |

No it makes no difference for me, because I like going on adventures to far-flung places, and you never know if/when the person could be visiting nearby at some point in the future.
Cast the net wide! Otherwise it's a case of being interested in people proximate to you over people who you vibe best with.
