I think its the "make them feel like the only girl in the world" not the loyalty part.
Although how they hell you look for soemthing like loyalty in a stranger when it takes months/years to build up i dont know.
Id say anyone who offers loyalty at the start of anything is fooling you and themselves |

We have different interpretations. What the op and you are describing I'd expect from a partner.
Anyone I share my body with I'd expect respect etc, but loyalty and support? No!
I think that's why many come a cropper and have meltdowns on here, they are looking for Prince Charming/Snow White whilst their intended is looking to shag and go!

Yep. I agree wholeheartedly with this. If you're looking for happy ever after on here you will be disappointed. I know (as do you) that there are exceptions that prove the rule but for every thread that's started by people who have found loyalty, support and romance from a casual sex partner on here I see ten maybe twenty bemoaning the shallow nature of their contacts who only want sex.
If I was single I wouldn't look here for loyalty and support from a man. |

I think many women look for those things. But one, not so often here. And two, I suspect it takes different forms now. A lot of guys seem to pine for the 1950s where gender roles were more rigid and they get to perform masculinity by holding doors open and the like (see: many people who message me about swing dresses. I'm not a traditional lady, I just like big skirts ffs). I think that kind of relationship with that kind of expectation is rare now, and people expect loyalty and strength in other forms. |
