Although it was through an Agency back in the 80's, I was once employed to place then hammer pins into links to make various lengths of chain
I told ma gaffer that he would need a replacement after dinnertime |

"Installing the original national lottery machines around London but not figuring out a way to rig it.....
A"
Haha, I once worked with a bloke who used to configure the pay out systems on fruit machines. He got barred from pretty much every pub in Chesterfield |

Cool, but did you regret any job that you have ever applied for?

This would have to be McDonald's back in 2003 to 2005.
It was a very stressful job which led me to have a few stress related meltdowns with me having Asperger's.
When I first started working in a new job that I still do now, I was glad to see the back of working at McDonald's. |

Any particular period? I'm more into ancient stuff
Perhaps I should have become a fossil finder |

It was a furniture warehouse production place for an apprenticeship in one of the hottest summers we had ... Only lasted 2 days because no one could speak English bar the employer that was no help whatsoever ... An apprenticeship is where you're meant to learn ... There was no such course or plan... I tried asking around to find out what was happening ... No one could help.
They didn't have adequate water facilities to get any drinking water they basically told me to use the water taps in the toilets that were rusted and covered in excrement... I had to walk to another unit a couple minutes down the road to get clean drinking water.
I was uncomfortably approached by Indian blokes that tried to hug me while working ....
Second day .. I ended up cutting the length of my hand, I went to go seek first aider ... And trying to find out where he was in a place where no one spoke English, complete nightmare.
Found him and the bandages he was going to use were dirty and damp.... I just thought nope..... That's a breach of health and safety ... I left by dinner time and had to sign back on again and trying to explain what happened to the jobcentre .... Like talking to a brick wall, I had reported everything to the health and safety executives... Now I don't start new work until I've had like a week or two trial. I've learned from that mistake. |

In my teens took a summer job as a tent erector. No problem I thought, till I arrived and it was on top of a 3 story building. They had call out a special cherry picker to get me down at £££ cost. They didn't ask me back, funny that. |

Another job that I had was on the renovation of Derby City Council House. Again it was through an agency, and I was supposed to stop the lads from putting the blue hand drying paper towels down the bog as it clogged the pipes up
Luckily after a couple of days, some idiot decided to smash his thumb to smithereens with a lump hammer, he got the bog attendant duty and I went on site to do a proper job |
