Right you lot, this came up as a topic of discussion in the office today........ one of the guys says, and I quote, “I get the wife lingerie every year, that’s a winner every time”
Isn’t it just a cliché, though? He was asked several times..... so what do you guys think is a good gift for your significant other? |

I don’t bother with it... I am a believer that with a significant other, everyday should be Valentine’s Day... |

"No idea what would make a good gift. I guess the person you're with would drop hints?
I'd best start listening to my fella more this next couple of days... "
That’s pretty much what I said, everyone is different so would expect/like something different, or just a card |

If I was bought lingerie every year, I would get bored of it. That shows a lack of imagination and thought in my opinion, just doing the same old thing. But then I dont like being bought lingerie as a gift unless we are out shopping together and I get to choose it. |

Cue Al the 'you should tell your partner you love them every day' comments as if for the rest of the year anyone that buys something for someone on valentines say is a dick to their partner.
Valentines day isn't a say3 for over the top expensive gifts. Just a little token is nice. If his wife like lingerie then he should buy her lingerie. It's just a silly little day that can make some people smile. |

"Something you want and know she will hate so u get it by default "
Yeah I think it’s a bit of a cop out to be honest. You will like it cos it looks good on the model, she’ll hate it because she doesn’t look like the model but she feels she has to wear it anyway! |

If its a 'typically' valentinesy type gift Im afraid I would be silently judging in my head
Im fairly anti romantic though. Put the car through the mot for me instead and I would be beaming |
