My first post so thought id keep it all things batman
As a huge fan i can talk about the dark knight for ages and im hoping im not the only one
Think of this as a safe haven for us batfans and just generally talk about the caped crusader in all his glory be it the camp fun 60s bat or to the more brooding detective lets all just chat about the man they call the bat |

I thought that Bale made a great Bruce Wayne but not necessarily a great Batman. I was really surprised by Ben Affleck. I really liked his tired & haggered Batman, just wished that they could have made more of it. |

Affleck is the best batman in terms of the actual character. He was let down by such poor writing, script and just direction, and studio interference. And just the general Affleck hate.
Was by far the best Bruce Wayne.
Keaton in terms of acting has been by far the best though. I just don't buy him as batman if batman were real. I also greatly dislike Tim Burton movies so have a slight biase that Keaton has zero effect on.
Bale, he worked in the realistic version of Batman, he would not have been able to pull off the comic book version though. And I think he was a poor representation of Bruce Wayne.
Clooney just did not fit (although he did fit that version of Batman perfectly  )
Kilmer... Was OK middle of the field, not enough about him to be good, not about him to be bad.
West worked for his version of Batman also. That was before batman took on the grumpy loner gothic mantle of The Dark Knight so can't really be compared. |

They even had Jason Todd in it, you can see they are setting him up to be red hood already. They also seem to be laying the foundation for a young justice show. |

Can’t say I think the main batman characters have been well cast but the supporting characters cast in some have been superb from ledger to oldman even though carry was a creepy riddler.
There just hasn’t been someone who actually fills the character |

Now see I don't think Karl Urban could pull off a Bruce Wayne. That's the critical thing here with Batman (and a fair few superheroes too). The actor needs to be believable as both Bat and Wayne.

See i thought that till yesterday when i watched his judge dredd film he has the action abilities and also due to him play McCoy in star trek has that smart ass style u need for bruce he wouldn't be my first choice for the role but genuinely i thinl he'd do a better job then say jake gyllinhall whos names been flying around since bale its hard to really pin point an actor who has bot qualities to play both bruce and the bat ive heard crazy rumors saying keanu reeves could do it lol |

Loads of very dodgy suggestions flying around for Batman. Please not Jake Gyllenhaal. Depends what batman they go for? Rumours are it will be a younger Batman than Affleck. I'd say someone like Armie Hammer for younger but if they went older I'd love to see Josh Brolin or if they are feeling brave (which they should but won't) idris Elba |

See i thought that till yesterday when i watched his judge dredd film he has the action abilities and also due to him play McCoy in star trek has that smart ass style u need for bruce he wouldn't be my first choice for the role but genuinely i thinl he'd do a better job then say jake gyllinhall whos names been flying around since bale its hard to really pin point an actor who has bot qualities to play both bruce and the bat ive heard crazy rumors saying keanu reeves could do it lol

I really think he could. Great actor, very dark and brooding Bruce Wayne. The performance will depend on the story though. I quite liked Ben Affleck but the movies we're poor. |
